Garrotte wire watch- although Grant didn't really need it.

What's all this talk about older Bond villians that showed up in previous films? I don't see that happening, ever, in this run with Craig. This is new territory for the franchise and I see them pushing forward with new villians and scenarios.
  • But there's all this talk about bringing Blofeld back for 2012, I'll get on to that at another time

Yes we don't need old faces from the past, leave them where they are, in past episodes and with past 007 actors, we need to be looking forwards not back

And that's probably where the suggestion of bringing back everyone from Bond's rogues gallery is coming from.

At this rate, SKYFALL won't hve any original characters.

They shouldn't have to bring anyone back in order to make a good Bond movie. (Yes, even Blofeld!)

But honestly, I'm torn. Part of me wants Blofeld to come back, but the other part thinks that is a crazy idea. Does that mean I'll be satisfied no matter what? I hope.

In terms of henchman: yes, I think it is time for another memorable henchman in the style of Oddjob or Jaws. Hell, even someone like OP's Gobinda would work for me. The last truly memorable henchman/woman to me was Xenia, and that was '95.
  • Onatopp was a crazy idea, crushing men with her thighs, in retrospect some may have enjoyed that aspect, but it just seems lame now and probably did at the time, I think they just come up with more elaborate ways for bad guys and girls to dispose of their intended victims

I was thinking recently that the last memorable henchperson was maybe Del Toro's Dario in License To Kill, he wasn't on screen much but he really did give off an unnerving presence, subsequent henchmen/girls haven't really come close since then if you really think about it

Totally agree about Dario, he was great, I just wish he had more screen time!
