Having fun with the audience, I'd like to see Bond in the field paired with an inconspicuous choice: a 1981 Saab 900 Turbo. The Silver Beast. Fully loaded.

I'd be all for something like this. I proposed an older 'S-Class' Mercedes some posts up on this thread, inspired by the '79 beast in Ronin.

I think it would be fun to see Bond in an older looking (but highly potent) car either giving chase or being chased. The exceptionally well proportioned Alfa GTV6 in OP comes to mind (although I realize the car was contemporary at the time it would still work well in a film today).

Saab is a definate NO. Bond does not pose as a dentist. End of story. The GTV6, however, is indeed a sexy beast!
The Alfa 33 stradale would be a better option though:

An original Porsch 901 from 1963 would do as well:

    Maserati Ghibli 1970:

Yes to all of those except the flattened VW Beetle.

I'd love to see The Silver Beast in a Bond film.

    3 alternative Bond cars:

    Aston Martin Lagonda

In terms of classic designs making an appearance, I'd be open to any 2 door car designed by the Houses of Giugiaro, Bertone or Pininfarina from the 60s or 70s.

    Forgetting Zagato there?

I perhaps should have mentioned them, especially given their association with film OO7's brand of choice (the DB4 Zagato from the 60s, V12 Zagato and more recent Vanquish Zagato are all excellent designs).

Overall I much prefer the works of the other three design houses though.

That's the Countach's ugly version. I much prefer the LP5000QV.

I really don't think Bond should be driving a sportscar, rather then an expensive GT.
@Thunderfinger exactly why Disney should never get the rights to Bond.

Apart from a one-off to film Never Send Flowers, right? ;)

Yes, so many potential revenue streams. The villain of the piece, David Dragonpol could dress as a Disney character as Bond thinks about at one point. Shades of Jaws at the carnival in Rio de Janeiro in Moonraker there.

I'll have to check my copy again and get back to you, Thundy.
