Oh man, hearing everyone's stories is making me insanely jealous. I can't regret not having gone because I couldn't have gone, but I really hope they repeat the event sometime in the future when I can see it.

Good on the audience for applauding after the Miami International sequence. 10+ minutes of hard orchestral labor?? They must have been sweating like Bond by the end of it.

The whole thing just sounds like it was fantastic. And thanks for the picture, @Agent_99!

I had the good fortune of attending David Arnold's very first concert ever, and he also played guitar on "The Name's Bond... James Bond" then, along with performing throughout in various other ways. He really is a great entertainer, a delightful comedian, and as hardcore a James Bond fan as they come. Must echo every other thought here in sending good vibes into the universe for his return.

And thanks for the picture, @Agent_99!

My pleasure! (My seats weren't that good; I was way round to the right. Took the photo afterwards.)

Which other Bond films do you think they should do in a similar format?

I'd love to see YOLT, OHMSS and MR.

Hopefully it made a profit and they will consider another special event, there are certain movies that would work and some that would not. Moonraker is a good call, OHMSS another
I decided to save a few quid and not go last week....baaaaaad call.

TLD. They'd need a really big orchestra though :) And I second OHMSS.

Meh...and I don't think that film would bring in the crowds as Craig's CR did.

In addition to the live music, a special appearance would be a bonus (as with Arnold), perhaps a Q and A with Diana Rigg? or GL himself?

    Totally brilliant and totally memorable.
It's pushed CR back up to the top of the tree in my rankings as well, after seeing it on the biggest screen in London, and hearing the music and special effects so clearly.

It did,i was quite overwhelmed at times, seeing Bond getting all this attention and adulation.

I even had tears in my eyes during the shower scene with a broken Vesper, after Bond had killed Obanno.
The orchestra played it beautifully, and it showed Arnold's composing talents.
    (But I didn't let anyone see that,luckily).

  • I really do hope they continue with other Bonds. Sounds like CR was a rousing success.

id day CR is a virtually perfect film...until after the torture sequence, which is when it starts to feel more contrived.

I wonder if they'll give us a Bond Prom in the future? The Doctor Who one a couple of years ago was phenomenally successful.

12,000 I think but I could be wrong.
A lot of seats were not used due to the big screen being there etc.
