I do have the added gunshot video finished but I don't think I'll upload it unless you really want to see it because its pretty much the same thing.
Personally, I think my videos are pretty good considering they're all made with Windows Live Movie Maker (a very restricted program.)
Nice work there. I have a question regarding video editing. I've never made a fan vid before- just little animated GIFs. Do you guys work with individual frames?, because you can create frame-by-frame animation in photoshop. It's easy to manipulate individual objects (e.g. you could isolate the bullet and add it over top of Craig's gunbarrel.
isolating that and masking it in an editing program like Final Cut might prove to be impossible... a program like After Effects might be your best bet.... because you could go 2 ways with it...
- you could either go frame by frame, and mask everything out around the bullet, and then lay it over the QOS GB...
- or, you could create a high res jpg of the bullet, import it into After Effects, and just key frame the rotation and scale, and you'd be all set.
personal opinion though... i never liked the bullet thing... it was an interesting way to mark the 40th... but it's one that i dont think should be duplicated
and how does that kill the guy who is aiming the gun?.. why then the blood? lol
some consider it just a minor detail - but i think they need to keep it the way it is... the bullet really doesn't add anything new to the sequence that already can't be assessed prior..
then some would say, if it adds or subtracts nothing, then what harm would it be to leave it?.... because eventually, you add enough 'nothings' - it eventually turns into something.. and most times that happens, it's a CF..
keep it simple... hell, i'd even be open to the idea of going back to the matte style of gun barrel (like in Bond films before Goldeneye) in place of the CGI one
I've had After Effects for a couple of years now, but I still haven't played with it much. I'm creating a Skyfall gunbarrel sequence in Photoshop, as I know how to animate decently with that program. Already finished the moving dots. :-D
Start questioning the logic of one part, you gotta start questioning the logic of the rest, too.
Alright... who gave me a down vote? >:/
Yeah I saw it. It was pretty good.
Sean Connery in OHMSS, the way it should have been.

I was always wondering about why the red wash "washes" Lazenby. this was the first time and last time they erased Bond. You think they were doing this as a symbolic way of bidding farewell to Lazenby?

P.S. The video is blocked in Germany for some odd reason. Sorry!
