He's played a villain before, so I can't see why not. Good actor too.
Why not? The main villainess from the 2016 Bond comic book, Hammerhead, was modeled after Nicole Kidman opposite a Brosnan-resembling Bond. ;)
Come to think of it, she would've been a terrific Bond Girl during Brosnan's era.

As such I would love either;
1). A strong female villain, like Rachel Weisz, which would also bring great chemistry as she is, of course, married to Daniel Craig.
2). Someone mentioned Benicio Del Toro which would actually be amazing since he got his start in License to Kill. I'd love to see any past 007 actor take on a new role in the series (maybe Sean Bean, Halle Berry, Christopher Walken-okay maybe not him) but even more than that I'd love to see them reprise a new revamped version of their old role. Imagine Benicio Del Toro playing Dario as an older kingpin rather than a young hired thug.
3). I'd love to see a classic 007 villain get a new contemporary twist; we already had Blofeld but imagine seeing any other villain from or the rest of SPECTRE in their glory, Doctor No, Auric Goldfinger, Red Grant, Emilio Largo, Fiona Volpe, Xenia Onatopp, Alec Trevelyan, Max Zorin etc. Personally I'm a huge fan of Alec Trevelyan I feel like he's one of the more underrated villains in the series and I think there's huge potential for using him since 006 is, for lack of a better way of saying it, the perfect foil to Bond. Their backstory could be that they were stationed at Credenhill together while Bond was in the Special Boat Service (Alec was in the 22nd SAS Regiment) and ended up going on a mission together in Afghanistan (or some such place) and Alec was captured and tortured similar to Silva and came back deformed and looking for vengeance as Janus. Or Xenia Onatopp as a straight up highly trained former Spetsnaz assassin that is sent to take out the Double O Section. Imagine a scene with Xenia coming down a hallway and taking out scores of MI6 agents with her thighs-if done right it would be similar to the Vader hallway scene in 'Rogue One'.
4). Or they could just cast an actor who has a lot of star power in an original role. Mark Strong would be the no brainer but if they wanted to try something different, I've heard that Al Pacino has been interested in playing a 007 villain and honestly imagine him sitting behind the scenes pulling the strings Michael Corleone style in a Bond film that takes him to New York for the first time since 'Live and Let Die'. It would be too much to ask but if it was directed by Martin Scorsese I'd lose my shit lol. I feel like Pacino or DeNiro would be wacky enough choices that they could just work, similar to Christopher Walken as Max Zorin. But I'd imagine a high level actor like Jon Hamm or Michael Pitt or Michael Shannon would do fine whereas thinking outside the box with an actor like Jason Statham or Tahar Rahim or his wife Leila Bekthi or an actor like Ben Mendhelson.
I agree 100% to this. Even though, Christopher Walken is my favorite actor.
Well, Zlatan's certainly got enough ego for it. Judging by that ad he starred in during the World Cup, though, not sure he has the acting chops to back it up. ;)

Hhmm... i'm getting more of an Emma Stone vibe to be honest.
He was the best thing in House of Cards as the cool and calm Remy Danton. Since then, he gave such a tender and sincere performance in Moonlight (which won him the Academy Award). He played a villain in one of Neflix’s Marvel shows and got great reviews.
He’s a terrific actor and is about to play the lead in the next series of True Detective (which Fukunaga is exec producing). I’d love to see him play a villain.
I think so too but he blew his chances by being too vocal about wanting to be James Bond.

Let's not even go there. He might have made a good villian, but given the medias rabid determination to push him as Bond, it would be a bit... awkward. Then again, if it would stop the media pushing him as a possible Bond...

He would be my top choice. Creepy as hell in Sherlock. I guess both brothers have that tendency, to seem quite creepy. He's like a giant praying manthis.
He was also utterly unconvincing as Khan.
