    God this is hard.... I spend way too much time on that first pairing. I really, really wanted to pick DAD but... I just can't. And I don't like GF that much. But at least it works from start to finish.

    I admire bravery and the willingness to not go along with the crowd. I go through a similar experience when I try to keep MR from being completely shut out in just about any of these contests.

    FRWL. Easy. Not because GF is bad, in fact it is rather excellent, but FRWL is the top of the Bondian tree.

    SF AVTAK is a mediocre film, with some highlights, but SF is this generations GF.

    FRWL over GF. A couple years ago it would be reversed, but my love for FRWL keeps going up. No knock on GF because it’s still also one of the best.

    SF over AVTAK much more easily.

    I like my Bond movies to be a bit more indulgent than FRWL, so GF takes the win. Picking SF was an easy choice since AVTAK is the worst entry in the series for me.

    FRWL but that’s a tough one. FRWL to me is the most dated film of the lot (more dated than Dr No), it feels so 1950s in places. But it still edges Goldfinger. Connery is perfect in it.
