@Max_The_Parrot is not the only one to stand out amongst the pack and choose MR! It finished 2019 at the top of my rankings for the three of the last four years.

LTK and TB have traded spots over the years, but LTK has been surging up my rankings in the past two years.

Excellent, it's nice to go I'm not going to be the odd one out - I see it's got 4 votes now! :)

Despite my fondness for MR, I just can't place it above OHMSS, but I'm glad some of you did.

The second matchup is a tough one, as they are about equal for me. In the end, I'll take a flawed LTK over a bloated TB.

OHMSS (even though I've always been a staunch MR defender, OHMSS is top 5 material for me)

LTK (TB has many great elements, score, location, Connery, Volpe - but LTK has an urgency and focus from Dalton. If you asked me which one to put on now, it'd be LTK.)

    MR over OHMSS

LTK over TB, but narrowly. These are two films that I couldn’t care less about and are both near last in my rankings.

    OHMSS. Clearly.
TB. Despite my recent fondness for LTK, TB is a better film.

Going for Moore's and Connery's 4ths this round:

    MR

    and

    TB

    MR

    TB

Not difficult for either, IMO. OHMSS drags (yes, I realize that's comical to say when I picked TB) and LTK just isn't my cup of tea.

Obviously OHMSS. One of the best vs one of the worst.

Then TB. Even tho I’m a big fan of Dalton’s last.

Two Top 5 entries vs. two bottom 6ers for me. Easy.

    OHMSS
    TB

  • My favourite vs least favourite- OHMSS

I watched TB last week in my lead up to NTTD and was suprised by how much I enjoyed it. I haven't watched LTK in a while, and it's a few weeks away so I'll have to go with TB.

Thunderball is a supremely good Bond film (my second favourite behind On Her Majesty's Secret Service) which is better then it's former Goldfinger, IMO. Not only is it directed by the man who arguably created cinematic Bond, but John Barry takes it to another level and the locations are definitive Bond. The scene where Connery meets the other 00 agents at MI6 is a franchise highlight. Connery's at the peak of his powers in TB and the relationship between Bond and Largo is superior to that of Bond and Goldfinger.

    OHMSS beats MR 27-8

    TB beats LTK 26-9

    Time for Dalton vs Dalton.

    Round 131:

    TLD vs LTK

    and

    DAF vs SF

Definitely TLD, always enjoy watching it whereas LTK isn’t really my cup of tea, although I look forward to the trucks

SF just, but I definitely have a soft spot for DAF, especially Bambi and Thumper

TLD (as a major Dalton fan it's tough to go head to head with his two entries. But TLD is one of my absolute favourites. It has an excellent mix of Fleming and cinematic Bond. I love the way the film expands its scope from sniper story into Russian invasion of Afghanistan. The music is exceptional. The PTS is perhaps my favourite of the series, and a terrific way to introduce Dalton.)

    SF over DAF

Very interested to see the result of that first pairing.

    For me it's easily:
    TLD
    SF

LTK over TLD for me, even though TLD is good too

    SF obliterates DAF

    LTK & SF.

I slightly prefer LTK: tonally more consistent and with a much clearer identity. The second is easy.
