Of course, Blofeld was THE crazy cat person!
My puss, Charlotte, is actually the crazy one in my house. Absolute bonkers.

Loved that, @Thunderfinger. I'm pretty sure Aristocats is the first film I was taken to see in the cinema, and it's still my favourite Disney movie despite some tough competition.

One of the first I saw as well, maybe the first. I made my mom take me four times, which is still a record.

Wow. Just wowl But at the same time, I think about having a Maine Coon like that. Always worrying about that pedigree cat getting lost, being run over by a car, Or being shot by a hunter. Now I don't wish any of that for our two animal shelter, European Short Hair retrievals either (the two best cats ever), but no, I wouldn't be happy letting pedigree cats like that run around in the area. Even if it's only for being too thrifty for that.

My pet cats were always indoor only. Safe, happy, no worries.

Do pedigree cats lives matter more?

That sure is a majestic looking cat!
Reminds me of the late great Whiskey, who was a Turkish Angora, similar to a Maine Coon with the awesome long hair

Reminds me of my mum's cat 'Memphis'. Not sure what breed, but he was grey with a white chest and had the mane. He had a face like a fox, hence I called him 'silver fox'. A good-looking cat- and boy, didn't he know it! Yes, he was more than a bit up himself, and didn't like to be patted, in case you mess up his purrfect hair...

No, not at all. Which is why I've always owned non-pedigree cats and wouldn't actually wish anything else. It's just that I would probably be more apprehensive in letting a 2,000-euro cat run around for fear of having it stolen (in addition to the other common dangers like car traffic and hunters). And I have come to the conclusion that a cat should be able to roam around, cat flap and all.

What would you name this cat? My wife has her eyes set on him- he’s only 6 months, so he’s going to be HUGE (looks like possibly a Turkish Van. Big boys, with long hair)

And yes it looks like he has a dick & balls pattern on his face, but my wife wouldn’t let me pick Dick or Richard. :))

Just pretend it's a dog and all should be OK.

I'm sure the cat is just as thrilled to be in your company.

I know. I much prefer cats to dogs.
