As a 007 obsessive of 38 years standing (Gawd, that makes me feel old!) and an unapologetic Craig-worshipper I am, not surprisingly, feverishly excited about 'Skyfall'. However, when I sit myself down on the morning of October 26th 2012 (or whenever it turns out to be) in Derby's Showcase Cinema De Lux (presumably) to watch 'Skyfall' for the very first time... I want to know as little as possible about the film I am about to see.
Sure I'll have no doubt watched the teaser and trailer several times by then and will most certainly be taking a keen interest in every apsect of the production between now and then. But unlike, seemingly, a lot of my fellow Bond fans, I don't want to know anything about the storyline in advance. I want to be surprised as I sit there in that darkened auditorium. If, as may well be the case, the soundtrack CD of David Arnold's score (I'm confident he'll be doing the honours again!) is already in my possession by then I won't dare look at the track titles for fear of them giving the game away.
What I will never understand is the fervent desire of some to know every possible twist and turn of the plot months before they see the finished film. Why would they want to inevitably spoil their own enjoyment like that? It's like reading the last page of a novel first!
I can honestly say that if I somehow got my hands on a copy of the 'Skyfall' shooting script I wouldn't so much as glance at it until AFTER I had seen the film.
So... do you feel the same way as I do? Or can't you wait for this time next year and simply MUST know everything right now?

The Skyfall plot synopsis revealed the following:
' Bond's loyalty to M is tested as her past comes back to haunt her. As MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost '
I not sure how accurate this is, though this is much more revealing than the twenty minute press conference earlier this month.
Hope this helps !
But, moreover, my feeling for Skyfall is like the initial feeling I had for Casino Royale: Fantastic and massive expectations that got fulfilled without any problem, no matter how the forummembers on MI6 tried to lower my expectations.
I always say: Never lower your expectations. That makes you a good critic afterwards. And IF the movie turns out to be perfect, like with CR, then.....we're a bunch of happy blokes :*.
Having said that, the new Batman movie has gone overboard with leaks and plot lines and that film is going to make a ton of money without any publicity.
All I want to hear really is the death of M and I'd be happy.
