DN to TND on VHS (numerous versions dating right back to their very first release back in the early 80's), all of 'em on DVD (at least twice, in some cases three or four times), CR and QOS on Blu-Ray. I'm waiting for the inevitable 50th anniversary boxset before I get the rest on Blu. Oh and I've got the trailers of DN to TSWLM on Super 8. Nothing to watch them on though!

I seem to recall the Ultimate Editions butchered a couple of films with bad image quality... :-?
I think they have all generally looked much better than the special editions. Which were the films you thought of?
I personally disagree. I want DN to look like it was made in the 60s, not in the 90s or 2000's. ;;) I may be slightly exaggerating of course but nonetheless it is currently my strongest incentive to stick to the SE DVD's, which I owe in the famous box.
I got the UE of TB the other day since it's my #1 Bond film. I didn't care for the brightness of the remastering. I think I prefer the darker blue tint of the SE version. Of course, I'm used to that by now. I do like the UE version of OHMSS better than the SE. But I think I like the original soundtracks better. John Barry's music stands out better in them. The remastered ones seem to play up the sound effects but makes Barry's contributions(they're practically a co-star to Bond IMHO) harder to hear. Sad, because this will be the version most newcomers will see.

I own TB, TLD, MR, OHMSS, CR('54, '67 and '06 versions), FRWL, YOLT, OP, GF, DN, TMWTGG, TSWLM, DAF,TND, LTK, DAD, NSNA, GE, FYEO, AVTAK & TWINE.

VHS (Special Edition) • The Living Daylights
DVD (Special Edition) • Tomorrow Never Dies
DVD (Ultimate Edition) • All except the Craig films
DVD (Individuals) • Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace
Blu-ray (Ultimate Edition) • All Blu-rays currently available except The Man With The Golden Gun

There are some redundancies, but there used to be many more; I contributed most of the old VHS and DVD versions I had to yard sales.

    DN – TWINE on VHS

DN – QOS on SE on DVD

apart from DAF, (broken) and MR ( it is the most beautiful Bond movie, I wanted to see the UE; worth it, I may say!) on UE

I also have CR67, NSNA, two editions of CR and two of QoS.

So then you probably don't care for the Blu-Ray versions, no? I was pretty amazed at how crisp they made Goldfinger, as if it were made last year. It's impressive stuff. But I admit, there is a warmth to seeing the early Bond's in their natural state.

As for my collection, between my best friend and I we had all the first 19 films on VHS and watched them religiously from about 1998-2004, in addition to owning DAF, CR, and QOS on SE DVD (The 007 SE's were in my mind, possibly the best DVD releases of their times. The special features were incredible.)

But I'm not much of a collector, and plus where I live, there is a theatre that screens Bond films a couple times a year, so I'd much rather catch Bond on the big screen. Lord knows I went crazy though, when Netflix instant streaming featured most of the Bond's for a shortwhile.

I'm more than a little surprised at the number of people who don't own them all. Before this thread, I assumed that all Bond fans owned all the movies.

I have all my old Bond VHS tapes in a box i have the old widescreen collection that went up to Tomorrow Never Dies, and the 20 film box set.

And i got the dvd as they came out in 99/00/01. And then upgraded to the 2006 40 disc set.

I guess next year i will get the Blu-Ray box. (just along as it's not a stupid price!)

    **EDIT**

*I have CR-1967 and NSNA on all formats.

Also i have Happy 25th Anniversary (Roger Moore as host), i got some extra VHS with the Tomorrow Never Dies box set & Just Another Day VHS.*

Just don't say that too loud, they might hear you. Big Brother (whoever he is) is always watching.

So now you swear up a storm and get "frisky" with the other men? I'm not sure which is really the better choice.

Dr. No - Die Another Day: Special Edition DVD & Ultimate Edition DVD
Casino Royale: Collector's Deluxe Edition DVD (or whatever it was called)
    Quantum Of Solace: Blu-ray

I'll get the other ones on Blu-ray as soon as all of them will get released in a nice collection with satisfying bonus material.

Mrs.Benny is always asking why I need the same movies over and over.
I guess this has something to do with my collection.
DN - TWINE on VHS (Though we no longer have a working VCR)
DN - TWINE on special edition DVD
DN - DAD on ultimate edition DVD (Limited edition, in silver OO7 numbered case)
CR'67, DAD, CR and QOS single disc editions
DAD and QOS two disc editons
CR three disc set (In cardboard sleeve)
DN, FRWL,GF,TB, LALD,MR, FYEO, LTK, TWINE and CR on Blu Ray disc

The blu ray whilst I was at first apprehensive about buying a player and new collection. I have to say the picture and sound quality are very, very good.
Though I wish they would release the entire Bond series, as at present there are limited titles available...no OP yet.

Just remembered: I've got LTK, GE and the special edition box set of TB on Laserdisc. Still got my LD player - can't say I ever use it these days, though. I remember when a tiny handful of DVD titles first started appearing in LD sales booklets back in the 90's. "DVD's? They'll never catch on", I confidently declared. Oops!

All in DVD (redundant), all released Blu-Rays + the rest not released on Blu-Ray from 1080p high bitrate TV-caps. All with DTS soundtracks.
  • I own them BONDS 1-20 on DVD and the Craigs on Blu Ray. I was given the films as I had originally bought them for my grandmother as a christmas present a while ago but since she's passed away I've taken them and are now part of my pride and joy also in remembrance of her. Everytime I watch a Connery I think of her as he was her favourite. She had a soft spot for him bless. First post here as well people looking forward to joining in the discussions on this board and hope to meet some good people here too.

All 22 on DVD! It was a fun crusade going around to various stores and seeing if they had any Bond movies. I started back in August of 2009 and worked my way through December of 2010 and then I had them all on DVD. I also have TB, OHMSS, LALD, MR, GE, and TWINE on VHS.
