Skyfall was packed house.
SF was pretty popular in the UK from what I can remember. It's the only Bond film I've seen multiple times in the cinema when released (all with different people wanting to see it). I know people on here have recounted stories of audiences giving little claps during certain moments, and I have a similar memory.
SF was definitely the Bond film that appealed to every corner of movie watching community. My dad stood up and applauded when DB5 guns were revealed and started shooting at the SF mansion
I've viewed NTTD around 15 times since i first saw it. Loved it then and still love it now.
For all it's flaws (and there are many) it still works. It flows as a cohesive whole, helped by the brilliant pacing. The ending never bothered me, and before seeing it some scumbucket on FB revealed that Bond died, so it wasn't a big shock.
I get quite perturbed at some of the rabid hatred aimed at the film just because of the ending. A lot of the vitriol from these 'fans' is aimed at Craig, who they say, 'killed James Bond..' 8-|
