The majority of managers in our league are backing Salah and his double gameweek, playing Bournemouth and Everton in two consecutive away games. He is the only player captained by more than one manager. We also have several managers playing chips this gameweek, with Assistant Manager being the most popular one. Good luck everyone!
It was close between Moyes and Slot for me. With the transfers I had in mind – and the transfers I could afford with upcoming gameweeks in mind, it was easier for me to go for Slot rather than Moyes; if my team structure had been slightly different, I would have gone for Moyes instead.
This season I really have not been focused on the game.
I guess you could have brought in a second Everton player for better coverage, but since this is the first season with this chip, who knows how it will work out! :))
I've not been up to my best this season either. I wish I could have just a little more time to do research and plan my transfers – but it's been a difficult season no matter how much time I've spent on the game.
Win 6
Clean sheet 2
Goals scored 4
Been so busy with work and other things just not had time really to watch games etc.
Perfect start for Arsenal, City defensive woes continue.
Almost 2 - 0 Arsenal offside, City look nervous.
Havertz chance in first half they may pay for it...
Wow 38 seconds later 2 - 1 cracker from Partey. Was deflected.
3 - 1 Skelley this kid is good.
Havertz gets his goal 4 - 1 City ripped to pieces.
City need a rebuild.
5 - 1 demolished
Rice was outstanding throughout.
Huge boost for the team surely, but Liverpool remains out of reach. They can only use this as motivation for what remains of the season.
Really interested what outcome we'll get from the Assistant Manager chip. It's obvious, even from the way the FPL content creators approaches the chip, that this is an unknown element to the game. We will no doubt see some managers getting huge scores from the chip.
Picking Moyes looks like a good move so far, @Fire_and_Ice_Returns!
It's a shame that you can only have 3 player/manager (total) from the same team using the Assistant Manager chip.
Man City have signed Porto midfielder Nico Gonzalez for £50m, taking their January outlay to £180m on four players
Spurs sign Tel from Bayern on loan with £45m option to buy
Any good ?
Agree. Imagine if you could max out with three assets AND the AM chip!
It will be interesting to see how the January signing works out. I haven't checked, but aren't the Man City signings all very young? Building for the future?
Everyone expected Arsenal to get busy too, but nobody was signed in the end. That must surely mean a huge summer for the club, as the team look very lightweight with all the injuries, not to mention players soon out of contract…
Man City are desperate these days.
Arsenal no doubt will be getting new players, especially some strikers to make the next step.
Liverpool losing in the FA cup (resting players?) was embarrassing by Slot.
He should have put Salah etc on the bench at least....... These players are not paid millions to stay at home ?

A bit busy again this week, so here's a late look at gameweek 24 before tonight's deadline! With many managers deciding to use chips for the double gameweek, we saw a big variance in points scored. Several managers in our league managed triple digits, best of which was PALESTINE, scoring impressive 170 points, which resulted in a gameweek rank of 1 073 – congratulations! =D>
______
Remember the gameweek 24 deadline tonight at 18:30 UK time!
So did I! Ended up doing a -4; didn't plan on making transfers initially, but I saw an opportunity to do something I don't think my rivals in the money league I'm in, will be looking at. It might backfire massively though, so I'm not confident – but I think I need to make some bolder moves if I want a slim chance at catching up with those ahead.
You may have noticed the same thing as I did.
Not been very active on site recently as having to deal with a lot.
Mainoo out for weeks, Coliiar and Ugarte out. Nightmare.
Oh no Garnacho should have scored, losing 1- 0 though United look like they are improving up top, Zirkzee shown some good ability.
Our midfield is all over the place at the moment, Bruno is not disciplined as a cm leaving Casemiro isolated and acres of space for Spurs. I can't be critical of Amorim as we only have these players available, only Lindelof is the first team player available on the bench.
The good news is we are only trailing by one at half time. I hope Obi comes on at some point exciting talent.
United getting chances got to bury one of them.
Zirkzee heads wide so close. Come on United.
Dorgu looks good, United played decent second half just can't score.
82 minutes no subs for United.
I would take Rasmus off and get Obi on.
Obi on only three minutes though, he won't get a touch.
Uniteds passing lady few minutes shocking.
Game over. Credit to players as we are decimated.
This is all on the board.
12 points above relegation, if we get anymore injurys we are in deep trouble.
I hope you're doing alright @Fire_and_Ice_Returns!
It seems like United and Arsenal are facing a run-in where all will be about injuries. The schedule and number of games is starting to impact teams big time now, which Pep too talked about earlier this week. Also expected Rúben Amorim to have a tough job ahead of him coming to United, but I wouldn't have guessed United to be where they are on the table by mid February. Many games left, of course.
Good thanks @Torgeirtrap just life stuff, sometimes you get hit by a multitude of things at once, things steadily improving.
Man United and Arsenal and Chelsea not spending (seems strange putting Chelsea in that bracket) will cost them for remainder of the season. Arsenal's youth may deliver though, firstly you need City to beat Liverpool which I think could happen.
This current Double GW really has dragged, points wise just feel like I am treading mud with no progress. Will need to hit my Wildcard soon.
I know the feeling! Here's hoping everything sorts itself out!
Agree, it's surprising that none of these three clubs had a busy January transfer window, looking at how they all have struggled leading up to the transfer window opening. And it's not like Financial Fair Play was a factor either (for Arsenal at least); they apparently submitted a bit for Ollie Watkins…
Really happy to see Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly making the step into the first team. If it wasn't for them, Arsenal would have been far worse off.
Indeed, it feels like this gameweek has taken forever to be finished. Quick turnaround now though, with tonight's deadline.
______
Here's a quick look at gameweek 25 before the gameweek 26 deadline tonight! With several managers having the Assistant Manager chip in play, points could vary greatly this gameweek. With an overall average of 74 points, this was one of the most high scoring gameweeks so far this season. Several managers in our league beat the overall average, best of which was Dinamo Skruknott, scoring 106 points.
________
Here are the gameweek 26 captaincy picks!
Salah is by far the most captained player in our league, facing a City that might or might not have Haaland in the starting eleven. No other player is backed by more than one manager this week. Good luck everyone!
Interesting pick! I did consider going someone other than Salah, but I stuck with him due to the likelihood of other managers in the money league I'm in doing the same. I'm chasing, but in the end I didn't want to take chances with the armband.
I am chasing the upside with the transfers I made though; Slot to Glasner and Rogers to Nwaneri. Looks like I should have brought back Mbuemo instead though, which I also considered.
I have nothing to lose and Bournemouth had high scores at home, it is a risk though Salah could easily blank this GW.
Had Rogers several weeks and done nothing for me, I had to sell Amad so Rogers still in my squad.
Would be typical FPL now that I sold him that Rogers delivers tonight!
Arsenal certainly aren't delivering. Handing the trophy to Liverpool voluntarily now, being 0-1 down to West Ham.
____
0-1 in the end, and no doubt Arsenal's last chance at getting closer to Liverpool. The injuries more or less ended the season already of course, and today just shows how lightweight this team is – and raises big questions yet again on the decision not to do something at all in the January transfer window. You get the feeling that the club to had written off the season by the January transfer window, and that they'll just move any activity into the summer.
Arsenal have blown it @Torgeirtrap this was the season to build on two nearly misses and not recruiting a top class striker not good. Arsenal should have gone for Rashford as a temporary replacement to Saka as bare minimum.
Liverpool with a second all too easy though looked offside in build up.
Has Pep lost his appetite for the game?
Sometimes, playing it safe with the captaincy pays off.
Arsenal really have, and them slipping up again is just the story of this team. If there was one season to go all the way, it was this one, because I think City will bounce back, and Liverpool will just build from here. Arsenal haven't really built anything from recent seasons, just showing that they are bottlers. If the Kroenke's want to show that they really want to achieve things, they need to invest like never before come summer.
Things can't go better for Liverpool, can't it. What a season they're having.
Liverpool not lost away all season, they just pick teams off. City are all rush and no result, Doku runs past people at will though poor final ball and the rest of the team are allover the place.
City's football is chaotic.
Indeed they do. It's been strange watching City this season. They no doubt need to recruit and rebuild for the future, but if there's one team that can, it will be them.
