Thanks for reminding me, I only made 1 free transfer. this season is random so not really gravitating toward any particular players at the moment.

Oh my, I've been so busy this week I totally forgot we had a Friday night deadline. I was all set on making my transfers later this night! :((

Hm… maybe forgetting the deadline can be used for something good. I've been 3-4 transfers behind a team I'm happy with more or less all season; a -8 before next deadline might get me closer to a team set up for the coming gameweeks.

I hope it works in my favour too, haha! My decision making has been horrible all season, so leaving the team as it is will hopefully be best.

Here are the gameweek 9 captaincy picks!
    Haaland: 9
    Salah: 3
    Palmer: 2
    Mitoma: 1
    Maddison: 1
    Mbuemo: 1

Haaland is by far the most captained player this gameweek, backed by nine managers in our league. Salah and Palmer are the only other players captained by more than one manager, picked by three and two managers respectively. Good luck everyone!

It's been very random! I've felt my team has looked alright for severeal of the gameweeks, but it's dodged more points than I could ever have imagined!

I brought in Ederson for Raya hoping for a CS.

At least I'll have two free transfers next gameweek, which could be really useful. It definitely will be for my team.

Obi Martin scores after 40 seconds and bags a 14 minute hatrick on his Man United U18's full debut. this kid looks good certainly his overall play, though he towers over most on the pitch. I honestly would like to see him in the first team sooner rather than later because our strikers are pretty useless at the moment.

Lets see if Obi Martin can score more in the second half, he really should have scored 6 in the first half.

Is Obi-Martin training with the first team on a regular basis?

No not yet though I could see him being fast tracked to the first team, he looks a bit out of place with the under 18s.

So far so good 3 of 4 of my players that started at 3pm have all scored and all on bonus points, the other player Gvardiol has a clean sheet, how long will my luck last.

    Edited:
Haaland no longer on bonus points gr.

That will be a good indication on how the club sees him. If the club sees him as a future player, he will no doubt be fast tracked into first team action.

I'll take the one goal from Haaland. I expect he is captained by most managers, and some FPL experts even talked about Triple Captaining him, so it won't affect the overall rank much that he "only" scored the one goal, with no bonus points.

I still have 7 players left this GW I could if things go my way have a decent green arrow... watch all my other players blank now :))

Just watching a YouTube FPL channel where one of the hosts Triple captained Haaland, I will be honest it never crossed my mind to do that. I will wait for a double GW.

It appears a lot of managers Triple Captained Haaland like you said.

Also City are not hitting cricket scores this season (so far), other than Ipswich when they scored 4 some of City's games have been tight and City have been lucky to win on a few occasions. It was quite a risky gamble Triple captaining Haaland.

I have learnt not to always take advice from so called experts, in reality they are no more an expert than managers in our league, FPL is often down to luck or bad luck. The amount of times I have had a defender go off injured and his team ends up getting a clean sheet is in double figures. :))

I've definitely gone against my gut feeling several times only this season, instead buying into the logic presented by some of the FPL experts. I might have to play more by my gut feeling for the rest of the season, hoping that the horrible start might turn at some point.

The number of injuries have made this season particularly difficult too. It all started with Wissa's injury for me, as I brought him in as a long term option, and then João Pedro got injured too – a player that I still haven't had enough free transfers to transfer out!

Arsenal really needed a win tonight, but you can't win when the majority of the defence is out injured (or suspended). Five points up to City is too much with tough games coming up.

Still early days city will drop points, i still believe the loss of Rodri will impact at some stage.

Man united had a shocking penalty decision against them, but I won't make excuses we were wasteful in front of goal. Ten Hag will be lucky to be manager this time next week after the Chelsea game assuming he is not gone before.

Man United are on a really bad run that stretches back to last season, this cannot continue.

I don't know, City aren't at their best at the moment, but they keep getting the points they need – which is more than what can be said about Arsenal.

Only saw the penalty incident after the game finished. I can't really see how this penalty is being given in many games at all, and it's not like they lacked footage of the incident either! Only time will tell what this means for ten Hag, but it would be very unfortunate for him if that penalty is the difference between staying in the job or not.

Manchester United have sacked manager Erik ten Hag and placed Ruud van Nistelrooy in charge as interim head coach.

I feel sad for Ten Hag but he just did not improve so it is the right decision, I hope they have a good plan going forward with regards to appointing a successor.

    Thank you Ten Hag.

Edited: Appears Amorim will take over and may be in for the Chelsea game, I don't know much about Amorim other than he has been heavily linked to take over from Pep.

Ten Hag should be thanking the club who gave him the chance/job of a lifetime in the case of managing one of the biggest clubs in the world.

Also the payout (£13.5m rumored)? he will get will make him very happy.

It's hard to feel sorry for these highly paid managers and especially the ones who don't know what they are doing ?

I wanted Ten Hag to succeed, there were glimpses that he could get us to play good football though he really did not know how to set us up well defensively.

The guy sanctioned ? so many bad overpaid signings (that it could take years for the club to recover) didn't he ? Maybe they will come good with a new manager ?

If i was a Manu supporter i would be more than happy to see him go.

Yeah recruitment has been poor, us United supporters have had it tough since Fergie left, we don't enjoy managers constantly failing, we want one to work out i had hoped it would be TH..
