Rogue Agent: Deception
It's been rumoured years ago that we would have a sequel to GERA video game. Seriously, I never liked that game, and specially the main character and the story concept which was set in an alternate timeline in the "Bond" universe. I always looked forward hence, in seeing a female protagonist in GERA sequel. Here's the first part of the plot.
The story begins with GoldenEye (Patrick Swayze), having already reinstated as OCTOPUS agent, is in a mission to sabotage Elliot Caver's (Jonathan Pryce) evil-mastermind plan, who himself was up to start a war between China and Britain, which is something that can harm OCTOPUS organization's business and plans. However, Carver has already set up his missile to shoot it in the middle of Beijing, but was confronted by GoldenEye. Eventually, Carver's silo blows up, he gets murdered, and his plans get sabotaged. GoldenEye escapes the explosion in a speed-boat and declaires his success to his employers.
Max Zorin (Christopher Walken), OCTOPUS orgnization's special missions handler and director informs GoldenEye that a new organization, formed by numerous super-criminals, including double-agents from world-wide agencies, is called, Department Eight, a division which was used formerly by the late Soviet Union's KGB, their assassination division. They have already launched another operation that could be used against their organization. In Nigeria, they already have developed a new machine which is the world's current dangerous weapon, a biochemical weapon that is equipped with radioactive powers that if it targets any country on its "world-map", the whole population will be eliminated in an immediate action. GoldenEye is dispatched to Nigeria to prevent the attack and steal the weapon for his employer's good.
However, in Nigeria, in an underground base, the weapons has been seen heavily guarded, it was ready to shoot its bolt. But, there was something weird, it wasn't headed by anyone. In a way, it's GoldenEye's original persona, he goes up and messes around, killing tons of soldiers and thugs. Eventually, he reaches the weapon and stops it before the count-down tailed-off. Strange feelings come to his mind, he feels something isn't right. Suddenly, he hears a firearm screamed. Bullets come and invade into his body as he falls onto the ground. No breath. No Eyes Moving. He was just dead. By the time, the assassin shows up, his face unshown, drops a Georgian love-knot necklace beside GoldenEye's dead body and a Golden Gun, which is very close to be identified as a familiar weapon.
At a Chinese Island, Francisco Scaramnga (Christopher Lee) was looking around his huge estate, looking for his Golden Gun, but he couldn't find it. Abruptly, he gets suspicious when he hears strange way of walking footsteps nearby and the silence didn't seem normal. He had a back-up gun, a Smith & Wesson Model 23, gold-plated, and now, he draws it out. In a sudden impact, the electricity inside cuts off, and the lights have been switched to red colour. In time, bunch of armed commandos burst in and try to shoot him. But, Scaramanga fights them back, and leads them to his fun-house where he will kill them all. After all, he's the world's deadliest and the most expensive assassin. He kills them one by one at the funhouse, using every deadliest way he ever knew. After surviving the assault, he realizes that those thugs are dressed like OCTOPUS commandos. He wonders that why his own organization would attack him.
At Carribean Islands, Xenia Onatopp (Famke Janssen), returns to her luxury house, placed in the middle of the highest mountain around, only to find it burned, nothing was left "alive". She was freaked out, just in time, she survives a close bullet, which was about to come and hit her. She sees lots of commandos raining around her. She attacks a few of them, beating them in hand-to-hand combat fight, stabbing them with their own knife. She picks up a H&K G36C weapon and rushes into the jungle, kills them in a huge firefight, and takes one of them for questioning, knocking the soldier unconcious. The soldier awakens in a cave, and only sees Xenia in front of him. She tortures him to know why OCTOPUS sent them to eliminate her. She already noticed her organization's logo on the commando gear. The soldier finally informs her of GoldenEye's demise, claiming that she is one of his killers as the other one was Scaramanga. Evidence leading to them was Xenia's necklace that GoldenEye gave to her when they were in Georgia, she was his girlfriend once, then, someday, GoldenEye broke her heart by cheating on her. Scaramanga's evidence was his famous Golden Gun. Now, Xenia realises that both her and Scaramanga have been blackmailed. She knocks the soldier unconcious and goes away. She has hidden her weapons and catsuits in the cave where she goes to pick them up to look out for the person that blackmailed her and stole the radioactive weapon.
Xenia tracks down an OCTOPUS operative, Aires Krestatos (Julian) to Switzerland, where the target was about to investigate a gangster, Tomasino Liotta (Harvey Caithel), who has got some connections with Department Eight. As she follows them, it leads her to a castle, a private castle named Piz Gloria. She couldn't follow them all along, so, she waited for the late night to come. At Late Night, Xenia in stealth, finds a way into Piz Gloria through a wire-car, hiding underneath. When it reaches, Xenia takes out some guards and gets inside. She draws a SPEC-9 pistol (unrealistic), attaches a silencer in the front and sneaks around the castle, avoiding being detected from the cameras. She finally reaches her vantage point, hears Krestatos and Liotta's conversation, and all she can hear is about that radioactive weapon. After those men finish their meeting, Xenia goes leaving, but was interrupted by a man, who detects her in the control room. It was Francisco Scaramanga. Both point guns at each other. Scaramanga thinks Xenia is against him, but she explains everything she's informed from that soldier. In bad time, the alarm was triggered. They both were spotted, as they try to escape. In seperate ways, Xenia fights her way to the ski chamber as it's the only way they can get out, because the wire-car was blocked as she thinks. But, Scaramanga looks for another way out. As Xenia reaches to the ski chamber, she wears a pair of skis and jumps off the chamber's gate which leads to the snowy mountains. In the process, Xenia kills everyone in her way, every soldier that attempts to take her out, and she succeeds distracting the guards and escaping them.
In that snowy night, Xenia merges herself into the crowd until no one can find her and even recognize her. She finds a disused cabin and heads to it, and decides to spend the night all there. After a few minutes, when she was about to fall asleep, a strange voice of car engine was shouting, as she hears, and the sound was heading to the cabin. She quickly takes cover, draws her pistol and see if it's someone following her or if it's the cabin's owner. She hears that someone has just came over the window. It appears to be Scaramanga. His arm was hurt, a matter of bullet invasion. Xenia offers him a help, but he kindly replies that he can manage that himself. But, she insists that she'll heal his injure. As she kindly (she was never before that kind, it's over her character) heals him up, it expands into love interest. They both embrace and kiss each other, and that thing expands into love making material as they fall on the ground and start operating what's in mind (having sex, eh?).
