I remember reading Cubby's autobiography, When the Snow Melts, and if memory serves he said something like Bond fans don't want to see Bond parodied. Always found that odd, and I disagree. Only seen the first Austin Powers but loved it, I imagine the other two to be a bit too much. But as a serious Bond fan I'm open to not taking myself seriously on that score. That's why I found the Alan Partridge episode so funny when they're watching Bond and he's getting exasperated because 'no, you're getting Bond wrong!'
