    I'd say it's an XK120 - agreed?

    Yes. Very lovely indeed.

Or how about a more British relic (I'd say also about 1948, but can an RR specialist confirm, please?)

I came across both of these beauties in Hamburg, the Rolls (is it even a Rolls, in the absence of Emily? or maybe a Bentley?) in 2009, the Buick in 2010.

That’s a Bentley, yeah. They have rounded radiators, Rollses have sharp, house-shaped ones. And flying ladies of course! :)

No, there was no such thing as a DB5 Zagato, and that's actually a DB7 (so from the 1990s/ 2000s) converted by a company that Ant Anstead (from Wheeler Dealers on the telly) used to run. They kind of caricatured the shape a bit.

True, very true. The real deal, the Db4 Zagato, was one of the most pretty cars ever made, though.

The trend of converting classic cars into electric cars is something I cannot endorse. It's sacrilege. [-X

I took this picture in 2012 at the Brussels motor show:

As Aston and Jaguar themselves do it I can't criticise too much. And I think it makes perfect sense to convert something like an old Mini or Fiat 500.

Can sprint from a standstill to 100km/h in a supercar-scaring 3.8 seconds, while the Performance reaches triple digits in a hypercar-like 2.5s thanks to its Ludicrous drive mode.

    Priced from $139,218 and $158,718 aud.....ouch B-)

Really? If you had to buy an electric city car wouldn't you rather it was a cool little thing like this?

    fiat-500-jolly-icon-e-2.jpg?w=1860&crop=1&strip=all&quality=100&h=1200

Bear in mind folks are always converting them into Abarth replicas or whatever, so it's not as if they're all being kept in original condition.

And apparently that one is interesting because it's not a conversion but a new car built from scratch.

Not quite sure how they get away with that, to be honest given the MG brand is still going and presumably they hold the rights to the old cars. Maybe they don't.

I'm not a massive MGB fan, but I've seen a few of these rebuilt ones by Frontline in the flesh and they're stunning.

Oh I like stylish cars, cars with character as well. I wouldn't say a Defender is stylish, but I love the concept. As with i.e. the first Subaru Impreza. I'm not much of a fan of all those cross-over kind of things, especially the SUV's meant for scared soccer moms. Anything that's focuessed on the driving experience.

Design wise I think the sixties are head and shoulders above the rest of the decades.

2021 Aston Martin Vantage Roadster lands in Australia
I prefer the grille in silver (which is an option) as there is too much black on the car, wheels, roof, grille etc.........Anyone prefer the black grille ?
I don't like the gills at the side....Look cheap. Anyone like them ?

    m1n3jzyhqmh2ag0wxbic.jpg

The roof mechanism itself is a world-beater, taking just 6.7 seconds to open and 6.8s to close at speeds up to 50km/h. Aston Martin claims this is the fastest electric roof in the world.
    Mercedes-AMG sourced 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8.

The convertible Vantage starts at $314,635 aud
They might be hard to sell at that price ?

tbh I don't really like all that black stuff at all. The grille shouldn't be black. I don't even like this colour, that doesn't help either. It's more footballer, less class.

It looks much, much better in dark grey and with different wheels.

I agree: the chrome on the 007 one actually makes that shape look classy for the first time if you ask me.

@JamesCraig the gray is better, but I'd personally go with the dark green. A car with such sharp lines should have a bit darker colour. If it's too bright it becomes a screaming attention seeker. That's perfectly fine if the car itself is completely over the top (see Lamborghini) but not for a car like this. I agree @mtm, the grille is far classier with the silver lining. The car is styled quite agressively. If that's toned down with softer accents (and colour) it looks like a, let's say a Connery. If it's brightly coloured offset with all that black it's a bodybuilder from the gym.

With the black trim it's always reminded me of a GT-R. It says Nissan to me.
