Highly unlikely imo.
It's interesting that a lot of people out there think this film's gonna bomb the franchise, because I feel this is gonna be the most exciting one yet. Not to take anything away from CR or SF, but there's just something about this one that feels on another level and even with the cool changes they seem have made, it feels like a classic James Bond adventure.
I wonder if you're talking about Fukutu, and I don't think so. But he wasn't in Skyfall either.
Fair point. Giving @Tuck91 the benefit of the doubt, here's a link to start learning about the slur: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chinaman_(term)
Maybe some think I'm going overboard, but I do think about our members here that are Asian and may not be thrilled to see this slur used regardless of the intention.
Fair again. I think I feel the same way as you toward things said to me. However, I will never know the experience of people from other cultures, and even a person of Asian descent who feels the same way that we do (couldn't be angry at a person who doesn't have malicious intent) may not be able to brush off racial slurs in the same way we can.
My thought is, why not use the opportunity to help create a slightly more inclusive environment?
I'll concede that I reacted wrong to the original comment (but I have seen on a few occasions this word used in a malicious intent and my mind went straight there on seeing it again), so I apologize @Tuck91. I'm sure your intent was not malicious.
Wise words. I always felt that if someone were to insult me with a slur, that someone in my view is insulting and embarrassing themselves rather than making me personally feel that way. And if the slur is simply used out of pure ignorance with no intent of insulting, then again that's their own embarrassment and they should be left to learn something from that (if they can). That's how you be the better man/woman/etc. But it definitely is seemingly a thing in our culture to become more reactionary to perceived insults. I don't want to invalidate the emotions of someone feeling genuinely insulted and upset over it, but I wish there was more encouragement about how to manage one's self internally rather than, intentionally or not, make a show for everyone. But that's how the internet especially works, you have to be loud to get the most attention.
That’s spooky, the way they’re all looking at him. Spectre members?
It is, I believe, as the woman from the Rome meeting in Spectre is there (can't remember her name).
Dr. Vogel.
If Matera is really split in two, it's not right after the explosion (beginning of an action setpiece) that it weaves into the main titles. The first part would be Bond and Madeleine arriving and enjoying themselves, the second part would be the day after.
My take is that only Norway in the PTS. Same kind of opening as 'Inglorius Basterds'
After title Sequence we might get some Scenes of new 00 in London or whoever that was in the trailer.
After that we might get first peek at bond in Jamaica.
Agreed.
LOL. Looks like a tacky 80’s music video showcasing the latest effects...
Read the full synopsis
Having left active service, James Bond (Daniel Craig) spends his retirement feeling the weight of separation from Madeleine (Léa Seydoux). His solitude is fleeting, though, when Felix Leiter (Jeffrey Wright), an old friend from the CIA, shows up unexpectedly.
Agreeing to help Felix Bond is thrust back into action. Reunited with M (Ralph Fiennes), Q (Ben Whishaw) and Moneypenny (Naomie Harris), Bond is also introduced to a new Double-O (Lashana Lynch) at MI6.
Joined by Paloma (Ana de Armas), Bond is led onto the trail of a mysterious, masked villain armed with dangerous technology and known only as Safin (Rami Malek). But life back in the field also forces him to confront an old foe (Christoph Waltz) who threatens to reveal a sinister secret about the buried past of Madeleine
If it can do that, then I'll be one happy Bond fan. :-bd
Yes. Feels like it might actually have a story at the heart of it.
That was what I was hoping CJF would bring.
Well said, America man.
