I don't that'll happen @Risico007, more so because it would feel tacked and kind of unnecessary considering this is Craig's last film. Also, not having him be 007 in this film at any point, wouldn't change anything about the future.

And just realistically speaking, how would that be possible? James Bond's role as 007 isn't a big of a deal within the world of these films. It was his number. He retired, so that number now belongs to a new agent. The only way he could get it back would be Nomi dying, and him deciding to return to MI6, and I doubt very highly that she's going to die. I also don't think she's just going to be like, "You want to come back? Here's your number back. I'll have a different number." Again, would be very odd, and would be more pandering than actual storytelling.
IK disagree as i kind of want things back to the status quo by the end of the film
Then I ask how would that be achieved?

The CGI is realistic and effective. End of.

    Ahem

    i4634Qi.png

Don't know is it is CGI, but:
    - If it isn't : Why it's look like that it is.
    - If is : why use CGI for that kind of scenes that can be do in real?

In any case, it's bothering me...

Seaplane is real, and Bond's yacht (I assume it's him) is real but the islands might be CGI or at least they have added stuff

I assume this is Logan Ash flying over Bond sailing, tracking him so to speak

My thoughts as well. The horizon looks to have been altered to fit in with the geography of the area the film requires.

Artistically the answer is obvious... adapt from Fleming

Nomi goes through what Bond did in Casino Royale/Gala Brand did in moonraker.

She realizes this life isn't for her and want to leave with what soul she has but it's too late for bond and he becomes 007 closing the arc that began in Casino Royale

    once and for all hopefully

I don't think he's going to get younger! I'm quite happy with him retiring for good again at the end of this one. Then the next film reboots him.
Your idea of Nomi leaving with 'what she has left of her soul' is a good one though; and I can imagine Bond advising her to pack it in now while she still can. Good call.

I do think having this Bond encounter someone going through a similar experience to him in Casino Royale in his last film is a good idea.

The plane is likely real. Be prepared for some of the best aerial camerawork we have ever seen in a Bond film...at least, if CJF's work in True Detective is any indication.

But to me that does a disservice to her character, and is just a retread of what happened with Moneypenny. What does that say? That female agents or any agent might as well quit because they can't handle it like Bond can? Especially considering he doesn't exactly handle it that well.

I really don't know if this real or not, in one hand we saw last year photo/videos of gyrocam helicopter filming a seaplane in Jamaica in days, but I dont know if this particular plan is part of them or if this a CGI plane/castle... (And by the past we saw real thing like combat in helico on PTS Spectre or Oberhauser base explosion looked like CGI even if they are not, or at least not entierly).

There is some great CGI in the trailer (like the bike jump), but in other hand if the CGI of all the trailer was so perfect we wouldn't had discutions about CGI (since we wouldn't see them).

And honestly it's one of my fear, Skyfall and Spectre have some good ones (like the mouse) but also bad ones (the incrusation on the visaged un the bike/helicoper PTS or the helicopter below Silva island), and first trailer of NTTD have shoot on the bridge that looked IMO not natural :

Those landscape shots in the international (?) trailer are so damn stunning, an upgrade in every sense from SP.

This film already looks fantastic. Sandgren’s “magic hour” cinematography is such romantic and soft with all those pink, orange, green and blue lights. The direction and camerawork are top notch, I love the energy that Cary brought to the table. Maybe that’s the reason why some had the “cartoonish” feeling since NTTD looks far more colorful and vibrant than the last two.

Yeah, the Atlantic road shot in the trailer is incredibly stylised and colourful, but I guess Bond films aren't about realism.

I know there is chooper cam plan of the seaplane, I simply can't tell if this particular one is part of it or not since he looks not natural to my eyes.

Like I know people who battle for helicopter in Spectre PTS are real stunmrn cause I saw photo/video of them doing it for real : but in the film these plans seems so spoil cause looked like big CGI cause the orange filter (who, alone, makes the impression of fake for all the peoples who saw the real colors during the shooting) and all other thing added.

Sure, I didn't doubt there's a real plane in the movie- I've seen that myself, but that doesn't automatically mean every shot of it is real. They had Barbara Bach sat in a real speedboat in TSWLM but I'm pretty sure the one that fires out of the side of Atlantis isn't the real one :D

First seaplane still I posted, shiny as hell. But then again, they could very well added some layers to that footage with the end resultat not looking real.

And yes, the Spectre chopper fight, a mix of real chopper scenes and studio rig, looks 'fake' in the final edit

If the film is looking this picturesque, Lord knows how good the Gunbarrel sequence would be with Zimmer's music.

We all know fans are going to complain about the GB anyway. Regardless of how good it is. Something as trivial as Craig tilting his head too high will cause endless outrage smh.

  • Looking good. Now I've watched the trailer many times I feel like I can form an opinion.

Loving the Thunderball sounding Barry nod. I really hope this is Zimmer's score we are hearing.

Loving the look of the villain's lair. Is this finally the Garden of Death, and is this Shatterhand in disguise. God, I really hope so. End the film by adapting the final part of YOLT and suddenly I will be NTTD's biggest fan.

Really liking the return of Felix, and the dark bar scenes. Action look great, but this is my only reservation. I hope its not too OTT action heavy, so it strays back into a traditional Brosnan 90's Bond film. I appreciate many of you here are clamouring for that, but I would rather the action stayed in Dalton/Connery territory, than Brosnan/Moore territory.

I'm not seeing enough Bond bloodied, battered and torn for my liking (the biggest fault of the Mendes era). I hope this is a return to the bleeding, wounded Craig of CR and QoS, and not superhuman Brosnan Bond.

Really loving the final moment in the trailer, with the Range Rover (or whatever it is) flying over Craig's head, and then Bond shooting it. The final shot of Craig is the defining moment for me.

    Roll on November!

It looks like Bond will take quite a beating in the opening scenes in Matera, in the Cuban shootout (Bond has scars on his face when he returns to London), and in the third act confrontation (however many there will be).

The film looks absolutely gorgeous. Having been very disappointed with the photography in Spectre (one of the many disappointments), this looks just fantastic. Hearing those first few bars of the Bond theme, gave me goosebumps that I haven't had in years. I'm guessing, and very much hoping, that they are the work of Mr Zimmer. :-bd

I thought there were plenty of bruised and battered shots of Bond in that trailer, which I'm happy to see. I hope that translates well to the action and we get some brutality akin to what happens in QoS. I want to see fights as vicious and frenzied as that film contains.
