Why would anyone ban you for expressing your perfectly valid opinion?
For me, Bernard Lee just barely outpaces Judi Dench. They’re the definitive Ms as far as I’m concerned (no offense to Robert Brown or Ralph Fiennes, who were/are great Ms).
And I pick the train fight from SP. I recently watched DAF so the elevator fight is fresh in my mind, and it’s damn good but no as good as SP’s.
The next one is close, but I'll go with the Train Fight.
And
The Train fight knocks seven bells out of the lift scrap!
Train fight.

Bernard Lee wins easily against Judi Dench
22 : 3.
Only nice words for Judi but Bernie seems to be the definition of perfection.
The elevator fight got more votes for a long time but in the end it is the Train fight that gets the golden fist: 14 : 11
A) Which actor was the better choice for the villain? (Or in other words: Which one was perfect for his villainous part?)
Gert Fröbe as Goldfinger vs. Robert Davi as Franz Sanchez
B) Which iconic GF scene do you prefer? Golden girl (Jill Masterson's death) vs. Laser scene ("I expect you to die")
Golden Girl; both great scenes but Golden Girl is accurate Fleming.
Gert Frobe (but I seriously love the three dimensional realism Davi brought to his role; he elevated Dalton's performance and the two played so well off each other)
Golden Girl (both scenes were shocking to me when I was a child (and still effects that side of me to this day); the Golden Girl was a terrifying death and the image striking and; the laser scene shows Bond on the wrong side of the table-- literally. You could sense Connery's desperation as he tries to bluff his way out of this situation).
Golden Girl
The laser scene is iconic, and is a line that everyone knows, regardless whether they've seen a Bond film or not. Regardless of the famous line, the tension, music, and acting are all fantastic, and is still an edge of your seat moment no matter how many times you watch Goldfinger.
As to the second pairing, the golden girl scene is shocking and memorable. But for me the laser table is the more hard hitting. We have Bond in a situation with seemingly no way out. The laser inching closer to castrating OO7. The only way out is for Bond to plead with Goldfinger to think about the situation with logic and take a chance.
And of course we get the unforgettable lines of dialogue.
Gert Frobe
&
Laser scene
For me.
Laser scene
Golden Girl
Golden Girl
Golden Girl. Whyle i was a bigger fan of her sister.
The laser scene with the quip "No, I expect you to die" is a highlight of the entire series.
And
Golden girl.
I've long thought Frobe to be the best villain in the series - smart, arrogant, calculating, evil and looking non-threatening but immensely dangerous at once and an imaginative master plan. His verbal sparring with Bond is one of the series' highlights.
Davi is still vastly underrated as a villain, likely due to LTK's perception as one of the lesser films and a Miami Vice clone and he's merely a drug dealer. He's actually deeper than the numerous cookie-cutter megalomaniacs, and Davi's relationship with Dalton's Bond is a hell of a lot more interesting than Bond's to Blofeld, any variation of that character. That relationship is a highlight of LTK.
Although I still don't appreciate GF as much as I should, there's no denying it's full of iconic images and those two scenes are among the top. The golden girl is the focus of the entire marketing campaign. I can only imagine seeing that and the shock when it was released.
The laser table really hasn't got any right to work as well as it does. It's a Perils of Pauline cliffhanger, but Dehn, Maibaum, Hamilton, Connery and Frobe make it work better than it should.
It's a great example of Bond as a character not having a handy gadget to escape, but using his wits to survive. We don't see Bond's fear much and this adds to our concern for him as a character. It's top-notch suspense and also a chance for Frobe and Connery to shine. My vote for the best suspense scene in the series.
Unless the mods will allow my above suggestion, I'll have to go with Frobe and laser table.
The laser scene is strong, but the golden girl is my favourite scene of the film. That music cue, that iconic image, that’s classic Bond at its best.
Have to go with the Laser scene. Besides "Bond, James Bond" and "Shaken not Stirred", "No Mr. Bond, I expect you to die!" has to be the most iconic line in the history of the franchise.
Laser scene, barely. Not because of the iconic line, but because Bond has to talk his way out of or he's dead, as opposed to using a gadget or something.
Laser Scene. Both are iconic. Come back tomorrow and I could easily change my mind.
The second decision is much more tough, as they're both insanely iconic moments of the series. I think I'll have to go with the laser scene, the intensity is at a real high and the set is magnificent. It's no knock on the golden girl bit, though, as that's easily just as classic.
You can have a pardon and you will get a point for all four, exceptionally. I like your thoughts, by the way.
