Funnily enough I finally finished that about a month ago after getting a bit bored of it when I originally played it. It was good to finally get it done!
This game above looks very similar to me; I didn't really love the idea of being a Ghostbuster enough to do it again.
I wonder how they will do it without Bill Murray…

You might be right.

I don't even see how it can function as a franchise at all. GBII was a fun encore, but that's it.
Did anyone ever watch Ghostbusters and think, "Oh, if you moved this to Oklahoma and incorporated children, then you'd really have something"?
Both "franchises" are also interesting in how current entries are so far away from what the original work was that they could be another genre entirely.
I watched this a few minutes ago, it's hilarious...

The return of Walter Peck...
There was a sequel comic run by IDW. Maybe you could check it out.
Thanks, mate.

It's good they've made Rudd a proper ghostbuster by the looks of it, I thought that's what he'd be last time.
Admittedly I am influenced by nostalgia, I watched Ghostbusters at the cinema way back in 1984 on a family Christmas holiday that I have fond memories of, the first two films are great and ok.
I agree, the 2009 Video Game is canon with the movies. Afterlife kind of confirmed it. I'm happy when movies consider their video games canon.
More and more, it’s really becoming hard to respect Bill Murray. He’s the one that caused the 3rd film to be delayed for so many years. And his behind the scenes personality is catching up with him. However, I am looking forward to the snowy setting. It feels fresh for a Ghostbusters story.
