    For me it's QOS. Craig finds right balance between his more humane take on the character, Fleming's introvert, and the stylish fellow of the EON series. He looks superb and he gives a stellar performance.

    While I'm loving the praise for QOS and agree Craig was superb in it, I still think of thst first viewing of CR and how he absolutely blew me away with his performance!
    I do agree that he was great in the all his films, though there something off about his acting in some of his scenes in NTTD!

    Craig's Bond performance in CR & QoS are identical. But I think with Vesper not with him anymore, he's more tenacious in QoS. So I would go with QoS.

    Even though CR is probably a better film, QOS has the better Craig performance for me.

    Like I said, I think Craig always put in good Bond performances. That said I think CR wins pretty decisively for me here. It helps that the material gives him more of a chance to play different sides of the character, and I’m generally more a fan when Bond gets to show a humorous or at least relaxed side to him (even if he has to deal with something in the film).

    QOS I think is a good run up to his later performances though. He’s more a stoic, blunt instrument in that film who’s dedicated to getting the job done, and Craig does some subtle acting. But honestly, my favourite moments of SF and SP are seeing him regain his confidence, swagger, and sense of humour, and I think these aspects of Bond are suited to Craig as an actor. Much like in those films, in CR I can believe Craig’s Bond is a man with different sides to him - he’s ruthless, tough, highly skilled, even if conflicted about his job at times, but he’s a man who embraces his vices (likely because he figures he might not live long enough in his profession) and can even be funny/cheeky. Everything that Craig’s Bond becomes by later films is all there.

    Still going with CR. QOS has seen a massive increase in popularity for me, but Craig's debut is simply too hard too beat.

    Craig's literally flawless in both. The shower scene in CR, the plane scene in QOS? Genuinely couldn't be bettered. There isn't a note of Dan's performance that I'd change in either film. I realise this is no use in the context of a tiebreaker so, with a henchman's pistol to the back of my head...QOS.

    I also don't see anything which could have been performed better in these films. Vrsig is great in both.
    I vote for CR, simply because he can show a more layered character. For example the self confidence when he enters the hotel after parking the German's car. The emotions in the shower scene and especially the laughter and screams during the torture scene. Love it.

    I like the rookie aspect in CR that DC plays really well, while in QoS he did not get the best script to shine. So still CR for me.

    If CR & QoS are going head-to-head like this, it says a lot about what fans think about Craig's era and what I've always thought as well...CR & QoS are the best films of Craig's Bond. CR is a rocket of a film, I could have easily gone with that. But I feel Craig's Bond is even more relentless in QoS. Fans really liking CR & QoS means if Craig stopped even after QoS, he would have still been fondly remembered today, like Dalton who did two solid Bond films. Whether CR or QoS wins here as we vote, I would still be a happy Bond fan :)

    The winner of Best Bond Performance by Daniel Craig as James Bond is....Casino Royale! Accepting the award is Daniel fresh off his birthday.

    Alright lets move on to the next award. In some of the films Bond needles the main villain. Could be over a game, or a social setting. Two gentleman who both know that they are enemies but yet a veneer or politeness is required. Lets see what we think about which one of these moments is the best of the series.

    The nominees for best goading of the villain are...
    • I know a little about women TB Largo has invited Bond to his mansion in Nassau after Bond bested him at the casino tables. Over some skeet shooting Bond casually shoots the skeet while claiming it's not as difficult as it looks. Largo's tense "No it isn't" clearly indicates a nerve has been hit.
    • Lets shake on it TSWLM Bond is undercover as Robert Sterling, Naomi tells him that Karl Stromberg doesn't shake hands. What does Bond do? Offer to shake hands upon meeting Stromberg. Its a small thing but it clearly perturbs Stromberg.
    • A new role for Bond DN the Doctor No dinner scene is a wonderful sequence in the film. Heightened by the fact that DN and Bond have shared precious little time together. Dr. No indicates that he thought there might be a place for Bond in SPECTRE. To which Bond replies he'd like to be assigned to the Revenge Department so he can hunt down the killer of Strangways and Quarrel. Prompting the great line "unfortunately I misjudged you, you are just a stupid policeman, whose luck has run out."
    • It's all in the wrist OP a game of backgammon is the scene. Bond and Kamal meeting for the first time. Kamal using loaded dice and has Bond in a awkward position. In fact he's already beaten Bond once. Bond turns the tables and invokes players privilege and uses Kamal's loaded dice against him. Bond is then encouraged to spend the money wisely, but the threat is there and the game is afoot.
    • Kananga unmasks his feelings LALD Bond captured by Mister Big. He demands answers, "Did you mess with that?" Bond replies coolly "I don't give answers to lackeys". The rage that comes up from Big is unleashed and soon after he's unmasking himself as Kananga and sharing his whole plot with Bond. One comment and it turns a cool, calm man mad.

    I may have neglected some cause there have been many examples over the course of the series. You can do a write in for one that you wish to vote for. Which one do you think is the best goading of a villain by Bond?

    Dr. No for me. That scene and the dialogue is so well done and it set the style for how Bond and the villian charade around, even when they both know they don't like each other.

    Moore was a master of needling villains and the backgammon game with Kamal was one of those peaks, so I vote for it. Better than the Stromberg nominee, I also love the exchange with Drax during the hunt sequence - "You missed, Mr. Bond" followed by the assassin falling out of the tree. "Did I?"

    Connery was also so good at it. Going against Goldfinger and Largo matching wits was perfection. This is one of the aspects that made the classics so much fun to watch.
