But I would gently remind you that it's the acting we are to consider. Not the way the character is written. That might help you to come up with a full vote :) We could allow history and provide both nominees with a .5 vote! ;)
It´s very typical of the Hamilton/Mankiewicz films that they would carelessly add oddities to the plot like that. It would be so easy to rectify, they just couldn´t give a rats ass whether the film made sense or not.
Yeah it just needs one line to clarify if she meant it or not, even if it's in a later scene, but it's juts not there! :) Maybe it got trimmed out.
Good point! I could say this was for the female ally newcomer? LOL!
+1
Seems we are often on the same wavelength, @PrinceKamalKhan!
By going the pure acting route, aside from Marlohe, they are meant to do much more than add beauty and sex appeal and there isn't a lot to do acting-wise, particularly Bianchi, Auger and Seymour. I think of Bianchi uttering "I love you, I love you, I love you" or Seymour's simpering in so many scenes.
We have a tie! So it's now sudden death...all votes are reset, so you can recast your vote. But you can only vote for either of the actresses that are tied. Our tie is between:
Daniela Bianchi with 9 votes and Jane Seymour with 9 votes!
Okay dear academy members...who is the best actress newcomer in an ally role! Jane or Daniela?
I agree with you @CommanderRoss she ended up with 6.5 votes and was close to the leaders. I still hold her high in my rankings.
I think she gives a somewhat better “non-verbal” performance. And, of course, the visuals of her and Bond’s first encounter, and of her on the train are iconic – playful and sexy all at once.
Auger is a terrible actress, in many scenes as blank-faced as Bach.
I agree. I sure understand why people find her visually appealing, but when people pretend her acting performance is great I can't help raising my eyebrows Moore-esque style...
