I want the innovation of stunts back. After seeing TDR prologue and how they aped the pts of LTK, I want SF to have a few or at least one memorable stunt that strongly reaffirms Bond's place as head honcho.

If the scenes involving a train that were planned for India are indeed filmed, SKYFALL will probably go down in history as having one of the most dangerous and technically-complex stunt sequences that could be hoped to be filmed.

For me ... great PTS, a really well done action sequence on a train; a Bond girl who is beautiful, thoughtful, and some brains (yes, Vesper comes to mind); a super great ending for Dench if this is her last outing as M (but I want her to stay); Q having good rapport but not silly with Bond, some humor for sure (wry, sardonic, witty); great music throughout, with the Bond theme, too (the main guitar one by who was it? Monty ...) but NOT overdone; a really disgusting or threatening villain; a memorable henchman/woman; Bond in a tux (and getting out of a tux would be fine, too), a Bond that has grown in some ways including overall confidence and less angst (but I always want him to care underneath; yet this has to be nearly subliminal due to the character I perceive Bond is). And more. Something to leave me breathless would be oh so nice. :) I do not need Moneypenny in this one, but I have a sinking feeling about that. Guess that's all for now. Oh and a great script (which would of course tie all of these elements together); the script really is the most important thing, next to who plays Bond, IMO.

    * 2 seconds of Silence after the Mgm, Columbia Tristar logo whyle title Barbara Broccoli & Michael G Wilson presents apear on screen, then Gunbarrel is back at the start.

    * Maintitle in the 4 minutes era and at a very good place. I don't mind to get a reference to Dr No and it wil start after the gunbarrel.

    * Better soundmix then Casino Royale. Also the one from QOS can mabey stil get inprovement, but with the return of Alexander Witt and Stuard Baid i hope more then i already did, rest in sound and music.

    * No Techno. In specialy the techno is something i am worried about with the soundmix/music.

    * More breath moments in the first hour. CR first hour have to much action.

    * More wider look of what will see. Studio's/directers always believe widescreen format be made to show more, but the more violence action and the handcam made it a less wider look. Start with the drop the hand cam be good first start.

    * 1:85:1 format like Spider-Man. Sam Mendes said he is fan of Live and Let Die, LALD be in 1:85:1.

    * Somebody take Bond his phone and destroy it.

    * I don't mind the movie is 10 minutes longer then Casino Royale if the whole movie get 10 minutes more to tell a story. Don't Rush..

    * No boat chase

    * Felix invite Bond to New York, like to see Bonds 24 wil be 007 in New York.

    * The movie end with Bond pick the train and we see a sun Skyfall (in China)

    * No Christmis in Turkey

I'd like to see SKYFALL take a page from "Doctor Who" and introduce a character that will have prominence in BOND 24. "Doctor Who" often wrote new characters into itself and let them be fleshed out so that the audience were familiar with them, before giving them a pivotal role in the next series. It created a lot of continuity. I think it would be good for Bond, because it would give the series a much greater sense of scale.

I don't want continuity in Bond films. We've had 20 films with close to no continuity, and all the masterpieces of the franchise (TB, YOLT, OHMSS, DAF, TMWTGG, MR, GE) have no continuity with other outings. So I totally don't care about new timelines and continuity, I just want Bond films like they did from 1962-2002.

Humour, atmosphere and characters are much more important for the films than plot and continuity.

Yes, but saying it over and over again is not going to make it happen DC. I can assure you though, every one of us on here is now fully aware of what you want from a Bond film. ;)

    - Lots of day scenes and exterior on-location shots, good use of the 2.35.1 format
    - Some sort of chase through Istanbul for the PTS
    - A classic title theme and overall score with plenty use of brass and strings. No rock. No techno.
    - No Bourne-style editing
    - 3-4 huge varied actionsscenes spread out through the movie (unlike CR, where most of the action took place during the first hour)
    - Bond leading others! A taskforce or something.
    - If I find the main villain to be an interesting and potentially memorable character, I want him to survive.
    - A runtime more than 2hrs

Didn't MR have the Jaws character who was previously seen in TSWLM?
Didn't TMWTGG have that annoying cop who was previously in LALD?

1 character returning in both films... compared to QOS entire plot being a sequel to CR... You can't just say that Jaws and Pepper who have barely 5 minutes of screentime is the same level of continuity than a direct sequel like QOS.
  • TB, YOLT, OHMSS and DAF all have Blofeld in them.

YOLT, OHMSS and DAF all feature a different actor as Bond and as Blofeld.

I want the same lightness sprinkled throughout that was provided in MI:GP. Multiple moments where the audience, and myself, caught ourselves laughing.

It wouldn't be hard to pull off. They just have to T R Y.

I would have loved to hear Connery's Bond trying to order Scotland's national dish, chips & cheese... :)

  • I would like to see more romance in the film where you feel DC could bed the leading lady.

I want to see the traditional gunbarrel back with an updated 'james bond theme' bombastic intro.

    An explosive PTS

I want to see a return to Bond's military roots.I feel the producers have been nervy about that with Craig. He needs to be the spear head or orchestrator of an assault.

Lets have some more humour along CR's lines

I want the villains to be genuinely menacing in a cold way and charismatic too.Craig has not met his match yet.

Lets also have a first rate score which underlines all the action, drama and romance

What Martin Campbell said we'd get in Casino Royale but, didn't: the Bond we knew and came to love.

Well, the problem with his statement was that Casino Royale was a reboot, meaning we couldn't have the Bond we knew and came to love.

I'll like some reference to Bond's experience in the Royal Navy, or at least someone calling him by the rank of Commander.

Proper Bond teaser, none of the Casino Royale 'blink and you'll miss it' nonsense, if they can do a similar duration or excitement of TWINE that would be just fine

Wow, I thought the teaser was one of the best parts of CR, as lean and mean as the one in GF.

I hope Craig's Bond gets to sleep with a woman who later survives!
  • I wish they just gave Bond a straight-forward mission. No personal stuff whatsoever. When was the last time they did that? TLD?

You might actually pool TWINE in that category, too. And GE. And LTK. Come to think of it, a lot of Bond movies had some sort of personal reason for Bond's actions.
