And no, it's not from NTTD.

Yes, I was rather sure of that in the meantime...

I'm going to take a guess at, LALD. Kananga's lair, hideout under the Fillet Of Soul in New Orleans.

Benny, you reckon it's the sliding door Kananga opens with the ball remote? That crossed my mind too.

It's not exactly a lair nor is it from LALD.

    That was my thinking.
Looks like I'll have to go back to the drawing board. ;)

Sorry, no diamonds involved in the plot.

    Is it from TB
    Maybe underground at Palmyra?

    It is not TB.

Here is a hint: Bond and one other person are in the scene.

Is it the subway from YOLT, with Bond and Aki?
  • zebrafishzebrafish <°)))< in Octopussy's garden in the shade

Sadly, it is not from YOLT.

    Let's start a list:
    TB
    YOLT
    DAF
    LALD
    NTTD

Is it part of Q's lab in FYEO perhaps?

There is lots of grey concrete in Q's lab in FYEO, but that's not it.

    Updated list:
    TB
    YOLT
    DAF
    LALD
    FYEO
    NTTD

I'm still lost here. I'm pretty sure I saw those fake-looking horizontal "concrete" bars not too long ago, but I don't know where. Regarding your list, I'd say somewhere between FYEO and NTTD, but I didn't find it with what I think was a reasonable amount of investigation.

Thanks for bumping this thread up for the start of the week. My hint: In the heart of enemy territory.

    Not any of these:
    TB
    YOLT
    DAF
    LALD
    FYEO
    TLD
    NTTD

    Somewhere in Dr. No's lair?
  • zebrafishzebrafish <°)))< in Octopussy's garden in the shade

Sorry, not Dr. No. You all have missed one important film with an iconic concrete location - there is much more of this just behind the next door!

Could it be from MR, the blast chamber perhaps?

On the spot, @Benny ! Here we go...

I think Safin's lair in NTTD was strongly inspired by this amazing Ken Adams set.
On to you, if you want.

You know, to find the quarter-frame I actually browsed my MR Blu-ray relatively early on, with particular detail on those scenes...and yet overlooked it on my PC screen. In spite of the fact that MR must also have been the penultimate JB movie I watched recently, which must be why it looked so awfully familiar to me...:-) Good job, @zebrafish and @Benny.
