Considering how big Goldeneye 007 and racing games were on the Nintendo 64, I’m surprised that a version of 007 Racing was never made for the system. That being said, I’ve been playing The World is not Enough on N64. I think it’s better than the movie. A nostalgic classic from my childhood. John Cleese is welcome. A nice variety of gameplay.

Good way to check out the Hitman games if, like me, you never have, while we wait for more info on the new Bond game:

IOI Barcelona will be working with the award-winning Glacier technology on core features across all ongoing projects; Hitman, Project 007 and an unannounced new IP.

    https://www.ioi.dk/living-in-barcelona/

This was noted back in April 2021 upon its grand opening but nice to get a refresher update.

Pretty sure I remember that fans figured out from job listings that the unannounced game will have a heavy multiplayer component, which sadly wouldn't really fit with MacGyver, right?
But that could also have been misdirection and the multiplayer developers are actually working on P007...

I’ve been looking to try out the series in preparation for Project 007. Seems like this is a perfect opportunity

    https://gamerant.com/io-interactive-bond-007-game-vehicle-missions-potential-good/

no new info but a new article saying they hope for vehicle levels... I wouldn't mind a game without vehicle levels if its one well i remember loving the pc version of nightfire

Of course i am saying that as I am playing Arkham knight a game notorious for the worst vehicle ever.

If anything, maybe it's an on-the-rails sequence? It'd feel "off" not having a few vehicle missions but I'm excited either way.

Are on rail sequences still done? The last game to feature them, that i’ve played, was that awful Rambo game on the PS3. IOI don’t have any experience with vehicles, so maybe thy should steer clear of vehicular missions.

Definitely. The entire chase sequence in that new Matrix Experience, while not an outright game, was on the rails. I'm sure the CoD titles are still loaded with them.

Of course, how could I forget COD? At least the ones that I have played (Modern Warfare: Remastered, WWII and the more recent Black Ops: Cold War), had on rails missions.

I would love to play out the (novel) Moonraker car chase after Drax in a realistic-controls Bentley 4 1/2 liter. The challenge of the level could be attempting to drive accurate 1930s vehicle dynamics.

I'd be interested in that sort of thing, however the challenge arises. That chase is always so frenetic and exciting when I read MR.

If they ever did a "007: Pages" game with cherry picked levels and missions strictly designed from the novel source materials, hey, it's something new and fresh!

I’ve been playing Hitman 3 a lot recently on my PS5 and I just have to say that I feel total confidence in IO Interactive for steering this project.
The locations are breathtaking and the whole atmosphere just screams 007. The gameplay is excellent. If the 007 game turns out to be pretty much just like Hitman but with a simple skin swap I’d still be happy.

Agreed. Bugs and glitches aside, IO makes these Hitman titles so living and breathing and atmospheric.

I still haven't packed up any of the hitman games on X Box series X i have been playing Arkham knight a lot so once I beat that to 100% completion I will likely pickup hitman

that being said when IOI announced project 007 I did replay certain Absolution levels and even those on Xbox 360 had a bond feel that made me excited

I sometimes think that Project 007 is canceled, we haven’t heard anything from IO Interactive for too long.

Probably still early days, weren't they still hiring people a couple of months ago?

I don't think they'd buy the rights only to immediately cancel.

No need to assume it's canceled yet. Metroid Prime 4 was announced in 2017 and development is still going on.

They announced it while having no key team in place (they start publishing job/recruitement offering just after), so it's normal it take time since no advancement on game was made before the announcement. no need to panic.

It's very early days still, I'm sure. That was the vibe I got upon the announcement. It may be a good while longer still until we see something concrete or get our first look at gameplay and details.

I believe that they are also still supporting Hitman 3. As the year goes on, we will start to hear more about Project 007. And as has already been pointed out, IOI have only just got the licence, be patient and look forward to the flow of information that we are in for, through 2022 and into 2023.

I’d imagine this wave of new content for Hitman 3 this year will be one of their final ones before they sink even more time and manpower into Bond. It’s exciting.

That's the spirit. Probably in the best shape the game's been in now, I'd imagine, minus the ongoing bugs that they refuse to get around to. Thankfully, I enjoyed this one way more than Hitman 2.

I don't think game studios switchover their team projects overnight. Usually new projects take the team leaders away, others move into supervisor positions to maintain/wind-down current projects for newer developers, and then slowly people trickle over based on a likely very mapped-out operations and production schedule for various elements that only pieced together when ready for actual game testing.

That all takes time, and that's a good thing if you want a decent video game. Also, what do you expect to see or hear so far from the games release?

And the Amazon deal, which may or may not impact the game development, still hasn't completed with MGM and Eon, so there's certainly no rush from up top.

after buying it I realized the cool ninja level was in hitman 2 not 3 but I am sure I will have fun as hitman in hitman 3 currently I am playing Arkham Knight to completion , I just have the Riddler trophies 4 mines to defuse and Ra's Al ghul Side quest and that is about it. though I may next weekend just run through some walk throughs cause most Riddler challenges while annoying aren't as bad as others

Which one's that, the prologue level with that tactical swimsuit and the sword? I love that level, just disappointed with how small it is. Not really fleshed out and expansive like the other missions.
