Most definitely should. I forgot hehe
Wyn It All
👌Hell yeah.
I wonder how much it would cost Eon to pay IFP for just the title? How much did they pay for TSWLM?
QBranch and SecretAgentMan came up with Now More Than Ever, which feels like a great 'Bond is back from the dead' title to me.
With TSWLM Fleming had stipulated that Eon could only use the title and not the plot or characters. He was stung by the criticism for his offbeat Bond novel. So Eon were allowed to use the title and presumably just paid their 10% to Glidrose, or whatever the deal was at that time.
Although I like Licence Renewed as a title (and am of course a big Gardner fan) I kind of doubt Eon would want to shell out any cash for the title unless they were adapting some of the novel as well. They'll more than likely go with either a remaining Fleming title or a new title of their own.
It is slightly bland perhaps. It was more a statement that "BOND IS BACK!" than anything else. Gardner's original title was Meltdown of course which is very Bondian in my view.
Thanks :)
All On Red (casino themes plus blood...sound familiar?)
Between the Eyes (Quarrel III appears)
Cinder (starring Pinder but not Cec Linder, this one features fire themes and burner equipment)
Espeon (spy/Eon/ESP nod: a character that has ESP - a useful ally? Or an illusive enemy, several steps ahead...)
A Shadow Above (Onatopp?)
Killhouette (shady figures in the shadows - a very noirish and detective-driven Bond film)
Never Live Enough (evil magnate Branson Richards and his spaceport in Australia)
Never Say Die (way back to 1999...and in hindsight: There's just no time to say die.)
Once and For All (not coming to cinemas in 1998. Oh, and kill James Bond, OAFA!)
Peacekeeper (I think this title goes back to 1997, before OAFA. Involves the Peacekeeper missile that was in service at the time, researched on Microsoft Encarta or something to that effect!)
Lol. I know what you mean.
@QBranch how modest of you. You deserve a mention. You added Now to the title. I initially went More Than Ever. Which to me, actually sounded grammatically incomplete, as you even pointed out on that day too, but I still decided to leave it that way, until you came along :)
:))
Phoenix
That's the name of a Pokémon, which would be an interesting crossover.
Fun fact, a 35 year-old current day Bond would be the right age to have played the original games. Something to think about while reading On His Majesty's :))
Bullet Whole.
Phoenix Falls.
no more turns
and out of nowhere:
Ricoshet
Lol. I just try my best.
(multiple-villain/AI plot)
Cleverer Than You Are
Justice Cleaver.
The Dowser's Bullet.
Stirred, Not Shaken.
Shaken, And Stirred.
Blackheart.
