    'To Die For Hono(u)r'
  • 'To Die For Hono(u)r'
I think "hono(u)r" can indeed be an interesting word for a future Bond film. While I don't think Eon is going to use Gardner's "Role of Honour" anytime soon, what about IN ORDER OF HONOUR?

Thought it'd be an interesting question to ask what are people's favourite titles from each author, including Fleming's unadapted novels and the continuation novels?

    So, mine would be:

    Risico
    Role of Honour
    High Time to Kill
    With A Mind to Kill

I haven't included titles of authors who only did one novel.

    Risico
    Role of Honour
    DoubleShot
    Trigger Mortis

Solo and Carte Blanche are also among my favourites.

    From Russia, With Love
    Nobody Lives Forever
    The Facts of Death
    Trigger Mortis
    Double or Die
    Strike Lightning

We'll have to wait and see where Sherwood's titles rank but for its similarity to Double or Die, I do like Double or Nothing. And I've always liked Devil May Care.

    Death Can't Be Faked

    A Misplaced Life

A Tax On Life / LIFETAX

    The Original Sin

    The First Sin

    The First Sign

    Vision Of Chaos

    Contravention

    Supercharged

    Operation: Supercharger

    The Lingering Shape

    Trouble In Lingerie

    Lingerie Nightmares

    Racing Equals

    Game, Set, Catch

    All Day And All Night

As much as I don't really want another origin story, I do think...

    The First Kill

    ...is also a solid title.
  • While I doubt Eon will use any continuation novel titles any time soon, "Trigger Mortis" was titled in French "Déclic mortel", so either "Fatal Trigger" or "Lethal Trigger", and I think both could work well for a future movie. Fleming's chapter "Choice of Weapons" is also still a favourite of mine.

What makes you say that mate?

Didn't Bond have a gun in every Spectre poster? Paloma had guns in her poster and Bond had one in the tuxedo NTTD poster?

The cover of the behind the scenes photo book for Spectre added Daniel to the Bond Actors Resting a Gun Up Against Their Face pantheon. Don't they know those are dangerous?

Indeed...when they're hot you could burn your face. That would NOT be the handsome tough guy Bondian scar of which Fleming wrote.

    The Weight Of The World.

Ooo...GOOD one...Seriously ! I even resisted playing around, such as suggesting: The Weight of the World is Not Enough.
Why ? Because, seriously -- good one.
