    A Spy And More.
I would like to see the word "Spy" used more. "Death", "Kill" have been overused in my opinion and it would be great to have something echoing Bond's profession ("Once Upon A Spy" still being a favourite of mine).

Yeah. "Once Upon A Spy" is a good one. Peter Morgan's early script treatment for Skyfall, I think.

Out of curiosity, why do people like this one so much? It sounds like a fairy tale title and it is soooooo cliched. The "Once Upon A X" formula and its variants like "Twice Upon a X" have been used so many times I'm annoyed every time it is used again. It's a bit like "Rise of X" or "The Good X" (The Good Doctor, The Good Place, The Good Dinosaur, The Good Nurse), it's such an uninspired formula because of how overused it has become.

I understand where you're coming from. But for a "Spy", it also has a nice ring to it.

It does sound like something Fleming would have used or at the very least considered (for a chapter title if not for a novel). I wouldn't dislike it this much if it hadn't been used ad nauseam.

Yes I’m not keen on it either. It’s not very Fleming to my ears, plus it doesn’t work as a pun or seem to have any particular meaning.

Once Upon A Spy... sounds like an episode title from the James Bond Jnr tv show.

    Other episode titles....

    Live And Let Dance
    Weather Or Not
    Rubies Aren't Forever
No Time To Lose (hmm... sounds familiar)

My idea of any first future Bond movie is "Casino Royale - the True Story" or "James Bond - The Beginning", meaning the same: A new Bond, starting from scratch, with no ballast of the last 60-some years.

Heeeey ! You happened to put together a very Bondian title ! Appropriate vague, short, not so many syllables --- verrry nice !

Thanks :) Albeit I was just having fun, to be honest. I'm not entirely convinced it's a strong title.

Yeah. Still a fun title. Maybe Light Of Day is another.

'Gold-Ball' didn't make the cut then?

I will say a Fleming title might get me more excited about an actor I am lukewarm about like if Aaron Taylor Johnson is bond number 7 if he had death kills tomorrow today as the title meh but if his first film is The Hildebrand Rarity that could get me more excited for him
I don't think THR has that blockbuster ring to it. Risico is the best of the remaining story titles IMO.

While I agree I am just saying if they use my personal favorite unused title it might warm me to the new actor more then if they pick a random title
