That's amazing -- and to plan to film two in a row without things highly planned !??! Wow...

That is completely mad but impressive at the same time!

Watching the old series season 3, I recognized the plot in the episode The Elixir. The job the team did there must have impressed me very much as a kid.

Thank you George. Sometimes people just talking is as interesting as the action.

I am on season four now, and so far Anthony Zerbe has played three different villainous parts.

I haven't listened to that episode of the podcast yet, looking forward to it. What a coup for them to get De Palma, amazing stuff.

It’s no different from how Bond used to be cranked out in the 80s. Just plan out a bunch of high concept sequences for action beats and have an 80 year old script writer to figure out how to string them together.

Difference with Craig’s run is that there’s been much more emphasis on STORY rather than PLOT. SF was probably the film that you could say cared least about plot and was more concerned with character and story, which is fine! But I understand if that rubs certain fans the wrong way. Mendes didn’t give a **** about the logistics of Silva escaping and zeroing in on M, just the fact that he’s moving at all is more important than how.

I’ve seen Tom at Wimbledon yesterday, Goodwood Festival of Speed this morning, and now the Euros final at Wembley (with MacQuarrie). He’s having a smashing weekend.

I wonder how much of MI7 they have left to film?

One thing I miss in the movies, is all the fictional countries the team would visit, where all it takes to pass as someone local is to speak English with a slight accent. Also love all the signs in Foreign Gibberish that are just similar enough to English for people to understand them.

That's definitely a fun part of watching the old series. There's also the frequent use of Nazi costumes for Iron Curtain villains, altered to reflect that regime.

I think they actually had a name for that language, didn't they? Maybe I'm thinking of something else.

Yes, pretty funny. Also pretty funny that the US Defence Dept. is spreading freedom and democracy around the world.

It seemed like there were a few short days/weeks remaining before that latest case of COVID hit the crew (or whoever was infected). Haven't seen any updates in over a month so who knows. Surely they've returned to filming by now.

It's certainly interesting that Cruise is still in the country (and McQ was sat next to him at Wembley too): they must still be shooting. They must feel like it's the film that never ends- when did they start shooting it? Must've been 18 months ago?

I believe it was called Gellerese, if I’m not mistaken. After the show’s creator Bruce Geller. He was quite fond of coming up with these “Eastern Bloc” names and phrases. LOL!

Thanks! That'll be it, I knew I'd heard that somewhere :)

Thank you. Yeah it seemed like they were wrapping up production. It feels like there hasn't been an update in ages

Not sure when the Wimbledon Final ended as I did not watch it though probably not much time between events, unless he had a replica suit lol

Well it was the same day, wasn't it? Would you change suit? :D
He was at Goodwood in the morning not in a suit if it helps :)

Notice McQ sat next to him at both.

What stands out for me is Tom's security sternly looking at the photographer in the Wimbledon pic, he does not look happy.

Is this for the women's final, or the men's final at Wimbeldon?
Not that it matters. I thought they were a day apart. Unlike Tom to wear the same suit if it was the next day. Like I said, not an issue.

Must be a trailer dropping for MI soon surely. Anyone got any ideas. October, November perhaps?

The last trailer update I saw was in mid-March, when McQuarrie confirmed he hadn't even seen one himself yet.

At this rate, my guess would be November-December at the latest for a first look, but who knows considering the pandemic has really put release schedules like this into chaos. We're nearly five months out from The Matrix 4 and we haven't seen any official images, a trailer, not even a title reveal.
