Like many of you I own the BOND50 boxset as well as all of the subsequent Blu-rays for SF, SP and NTTD, plus a couple of random steel box versions. That said, I decided to retain all of my Ultimate Edition box sets, since the lack of liner notes in the BOND50 package makes if difficult to find a non-film specific featurette on short notice. Finally, for old-time sake I still have my first Bond VHS that I purchased back in 1982 (DAF)!!!!

And while not cannon, I do own the DVDs for CR’67 (Collector’s Edition) and NSNA.

Question: Does anyone remember 1999’s “The James Bond Story” documentary? I still have my DVD, but I rarely see it referenced around here. It was a mini-version of 2012's Everything or Nothing.

I'm eager to get DN - DAD (and anything unofficial) on 4K and that's it for me. They massacred CR and QoS, in my opinion, and I just don't care about SF and SP enough to spend the money to upgrade them, even if SF looks mind-blowing in the format.

Some of the earlier films will look astonishing in 4K I am looking forward to whenever the set becomes available.

QoS was OK I think it was an improvement of the Bluray for me, over time I suspect these films will get tweaked and remastered numerous times,

Absolutely, especially the Brosnan era which has suffered with some rough upgrades to blu-ray.

I just thought CR and QoS lost a ton of their color and looked inferior in 4K. I got to the Madagascar chase scene and was stunned at how dull it looked, turned it off and went back to my blu-ray copy.

I have QoS in 4K though not CR. I remember the GE leaps from VHS to DVD to the massively improved Bluray. GE is one of the films that really came alive on Bluray.
  • It must have had awful VHS and DVD releases because I found GE to have by far the weakest bluray transfer in the whole set. Hope the 4k finally sets things right for it.

    Yes, same assessment from me.

@Dwayne, I actually watched that one a couple of months back, I had never seen it before.

Agreed. The quality of the GE Blu-ray is atrocious. I just seem to remember that the DVD was no better at all.

I have the Bluray 50 set. But have several steelbooks simply because they look great! Got NSNA onbluray too! Have NTTD on 4k, and it looks stunning. I also have Bonds in the Special Editions dvds before I got the Bond 50 set. Bought CR'67 recently in bluray and it had CR'52 as a bonus feature so now I own them all!

I have this "James Bond Story" - it's the German edition, obviously, but I suppose it's the same:

I also have this curiosity (haven't watched it for ages):

I used to have all movies on VHS up to LTK. Never owned (and never will own) any of Brosnan or Craig's entries.
After that I gradually got rid of them and bought the dvds of the first eleven films and then upgraded all of them to Blu-ray and added TLD.
Once I upgrade to 4K I will probably only get the first six movies when they become available in that format (unless they already are).

I have the Bond 50 blu-ray set which has the first 22 films, and the standalone releases of SF, SP, and NTTD.

I have NSNA on DVD. Never watched CR 54 or 67, so I don’t own either.

I have Blurays and Digital copies of CR67 and NSNA. I have been a huge Peter Sellers fan all my life so I have watched CR67 hundreds of times over the years.

I own several physical and digital copies of all of the Bond films.

NSNA can be tricky. I bought one BluRay that was subpar, but I bought another (this one packaged with a DVD) that is excellent quality.

My BluRay of CR '54 is of worse quality than my DVD. Regardless, with any copy be sure the get the one with the full ending. There are copies that end before Le Chiffre puts the razor to Valerie's neck. Unfortunately, the truncated ones tend to be of better quality.

Just curious, @Birdleson. What made the Blu-ray for NSNA sub-par? I have yet to get this film on Blu-ray. I find the color timing on the 2009 DVD to be on the dull side, TBH.

Very dull, not sharp at all. I don't remember anything to identify its packaging, because I've long replaced it, but that one was a single BluRay. My collectors' combo BluRay/DVD is of a very high quality.

I rented the 4K version on Amazon a few months ago. If you told me Douglas Slocombe from the Indiana Jones movies was the DP for that film, I wouldn’t have believed you.

It's odd that the inferior version would have the superior quality. I hope to get my hands on this one day regardless.

I own none of them physically. I'm a minimalist. I prefer to have all of my media digital.

Physical media becomes outdated. My dad spent a lot of money on a massive collection of like 1000+ movies. Then, DVD's came out.

I had a DVD collection as a kid, but then HD dvd's came out. Then bluray came out. Now I'm just sticking to streaming services and it works out because the whole Bond series is free on Amazon Prime.

Ironically, Spectre is the only one that isn't included. But that movie sucks and it tarnished Craig's otherwise sterling catalogue so I don't care.

I want the best quality so I'll always own physical media in some format. Plus, if my account crashes or something worse, I don't have to worry about losing everything I've amassed (I leave that fear to house fires).

I'd love to have most of my media physically, especially how precarious digital content actually is but I don't have the luxury of space. As for Bond my collection just consists digital copies of the Craig era plus OHMSS for now.

Absolutely do own them all on physical media. Dvd and Blue ray, also all the movie soundtracks.

I love to be able to hold a tactile item that official Bond merchandise as daft as that may sound! :)) :-bd

Yes, but my OCD desperately wants them to release the overdue collection of all 25 so that I can have a set with fully bookended eras.

I think that may well happen seeing as it is the 60th Anniversary! [-O<

You'd think so, I just don't understand what's been keeping them. I'm more than ready to sell all my older ones to have this, then promise myself I won't buy another full set until the end of the next actor's era X)

I have all the Bond films up to SP on physical media (including CR67 and NSNA), but haven't bothered to get a physical copy of NTTD as of yet. I didn't get the chance to see the film while it played in theatres, and ended up getting the film through Apple TV, where I'd already purchased a few other Bond films as well.

Still not sure if I will get a physical copy of the film. I've never upgraded my Bond DVD collection to Blu-ray, and by this point I'd rather wait and see if a complete 4K collection is too good to resist – which will require me to get a 4K player and a new TV as well.

It will be interesting to see what – if anything - the 60th anniversary brings. I’m still holding out for a Criterion 4k/blu-ray release of Dr. No (and actually had a dream about it several days ago!), but even that hope is fading now.

I suspect for those of us that haven’t (or can't) upgrade to 4K the year will end with a bundle of cash unspent - unless you want to buy a copy of Octopussy's robe.

Criterion getting the opportunity to revisit the Bond films would be infinitely more exciting to me than 4K releases, honestly.

I couldn't care less about 4K. I don't even care about Blu-Ray; been collecting DVDs primarily, usually only getting Blu-Rays as well for my absolute favorite titles or when in combo packs.

Every one except SPECTRE. Never got around to it and at this point I'm just waiting for the inevitable 4K set of all 25 films (which incidentally will free up a ton of space in my movie cabinet; I love the Ultimate Edition DVDs but good lord do they take up space!

It take till 26 August 2016 before Soundtrack Score cd of Casino Royale 2006 end in my collection when i order cd together with Soundtrack of Spectre.

No Time Die Soundtrack is not released in jewel case yet, but in not so good looking carboard digipack release. On this moment i don't feel need to buy it, inspecialy not for that way to high price. For cdsingle i don't mind that, but for soundtrack no. I think it have been better if take jewel case and at slipcover around if there whant to make some special or/and make it 2 disc edition with more tracks (like missing tracks from LP)
