    I really love all three...

I love the angles and colors of the DAD shot...

The emotional meaning behind the composition of CR.

The depth of the QOS shot.

I think I'll go CR..., but that was tough.

DAD - I want to see more of these moments - but closer to Fleming again.

    DAD 4
    CR 5
    QOS 4

The previous count of 3 for QoS was correct.

Given this round is quite close and that I have been seing new votes coming in every day, I thought keeping this one open a bit longer as the previous one, which was decided pretty quickly. Let' s say until Monday at midnight CET.

    Current tally:
    DAD - 5
    CR - 5
    QOS - 3

A surprise winner for this round indeed, DAD came from 3 points down and managed to snatch the win at the very end.

    The 00's go to:
    DIE ANOTHER DAY

Craig will get his representative in the next round anyway though, because the final semi is an all-Craig affair: SF, SP, NTTD.

I'll be back with the candidates for the 10's and 20's soon.

    Cant believe DAD won! 🙄
To me it just looks like a photo of an accountant who just realised he left the gas on at home!

Looks plenty like Bond to me!

I don't agree, but I love the way you describe that. Genuinely laughed out loud :))

Congrats DAD. When the CGI is not present, it's a great looking film.

I almost chose it as well. I like the angles, I like the pose and colors. The only thing I didn’t like was to see an ashtray on Bond’s desk. Not because I’m anti-smoking (although i am; and I don’t think Bond should ever smoke again), but even in 2002, I’m pretty sure there was no smoking in government buildings.

This is the set decorators job (research and dress appropriately).

But otherwise, it’s a nice shot, great composition, Bond was Bond…

I never noticed the ashtray before. Good spotting, and I agree @peter!

I guess that would make Brosnan’s Bond a bit of a hypocrite given the “filthy habit” remark in Tomorrow Never Dies.

Pretty sure the days of keeping bottles of brandy at your desk are gone now, too. But alas, it's a VR sequence so perhaps that's just Bond's ideal desk! :)

I’d disagree about a bottle of booze at one’s desk, @CraigMooreOHMSS … a few of my childhood friends doing well in finance have scotch and wine in their offices, 😂….

But, if they were playing that angle, legitimately, that this is Bond’s ideal desk then that’s when I’d actually have a lit cigarette resting on the side of the ashtray, with three gold rings, and a pack of Moreland’s beside it.

That’d have been a nice little Easter egg, and a nice little look at Bond’s vices, without showing him take one drag.

    I could live with that.

@007ClassicBondFan … ahaha, that’s true, but when you’re as slick as Bond, especially in that PTS, I’ll allow for him to be a little hypocritical, further down the line, 😂!! Perhaps he picked up that “filthy habit”while in a North Korean prison??

As you did with QoS, you picked my favourite shot from 'Spectre' @GoldenGun , so that's my pick.
    Love that scene, very Fleming!

Spectre for me too. That whole section of the movie looks perfect.

Spectre, but this is the most difficult round so far. For sure, the growing importance of cinematography in the series is clear.

As much as I like to take credit for that choice, it was voted the best shot of SP earlier in this thread, and I believe I even voted for another one back then :))

Anyways, I do agree with you here, SP gets my vote too :)
