Starting this year's Christmas gift thread early, because look what I got in our work Secret Santa! My team knows me too well.

Hey, I could use another wooden spoon for cooking...I'm just afraid the Brosnan might come off and spoil my soup... But I'm glad your team found something you really appreciate!

Surely there's much more on the way for you, @Agent_99.

    That is one serious spoon.

Agent_99: "Right. Let's get on to more practical matters. A typical wooden spoon..."

MI6 Community: "99, I'm familiar with that device."

Agent_99: "Not one with Pierce's face on it. You call it a utensil, we call it the 'Brosnan basher' Basher!"

That's a great set. I have the DVD version which looks pretty much the same except with three discs. The third disc folds out from the right and features Le Chiffre on the artwork.

I saw the DVD version online with the three disks, I have displayed mine next to my Bond Steelbook"s it is a great looking mini Boxset.

Bond loot for the first half of December:

TSWLM ski poles - took several years to find what seem to be the right ones for customizing
Raoul's jeweler's loupe used by both him and Bond to examine the diamonds

TWINE postcard promoting Warner Village Cinemas

I bit the bullet and ordered the “007: X Actor Collection” DVD sets, which, after extensive research, look to be the best way (most affordable and most orderly + neatly condensed) to have the full collection on DVD. Sucks spending on things I technically already had, but my current DVDs aren’t cutting it anyway, and this will be the best possible solution, since EON doesn’t even release full DVD sets of the series - just Blu-Ray, and even then, no update on NTTD / 60th anniversary. I’m happy enough though, they are nice-looking.

Slim pickings this year compared to last, but I did get three different pairs of the London Sock Exchange 007 socks, and the casino chip coasters.

Only one Bond item for me; The Lost Adventures Of James Bond. I can't wait to delve deep into it.

My partner got me a Bond doormat. I’m especially pleased as I noticed in the Louis Theroux interview that Dame Judi Dench has one too! I also received the Folio FYEO from my mum, to add to the collection (birthdays and Christmas have been very easy for my mum for the last few years).

I got the James Chapman Dr. No book and the BFI FRWL book written by his wife. I also just ordered the spy book Guns, Girls and Gadgets with one of my gift cards and will likely also buy Filming James Bond in the Bahamas that's part of the On the Tracks of 007 series. Not forgetting I also want the Mi6 Confidential Sean Connery special to complement the others in that unique series.

I know what you mean, these books are a great no brainer for loved ones (as long as the $75 or so isn't too tough to swallow). FYEO looks lovely, I'm especially excited for Octopussy & TLD, but I still have many of the mainline books to collect!

Bond loot for the second half of December - more Broz era gear, so it's a Merry Brosmas indeed.

    52595461892_879650fe66_o.png

TND Limited Edition soundtrack - didn't have a TND s/t yet so it's extra special for me
GE64 confidential promo folder (the rarer? Toys 'R' Us version) - complete with mail-away vouchers intact!
Zeon melody alarm watch from 1981 (black plastic version) - been after this one for many years
And what's in the tin, hmm? Something Christmassy? Bond would say otherwise.

I didn’t get any Bond loot for Christmas but I finally pulled the trigger on Greg Williams‘ Bond on Set: Filming Skyfall.
I have been circling this book for a very long time. I had hoped to find it in a used bookstore somewhere, but wasn’t lucky (I also haven’t been to one in the UK in a while, where this would more likely show up). The price on AbeBooks has dropped quite significantly recently from an average around 150€ to now several good or very good copies around 60€ and when I finally got the alert that there was one for just a smidge over 50 I had to do it…
