Ian Fleming short story elimination game

We just did a Fleming novel one and I always feel the short stories don’t really benefit from comparisons to the full novels. Personally I reach out to them pretty often when I don’t have much time but still looking for some Fleming vibes.

    Am I alone in thinking that 007 in New York would have made a good PTS for a new Bond?

    It would have been a great introduction for a new Bond, a PTS.

    It'd have to be heavily adapted, but the basic idea could be there. It's not the most cinematic story of the bunch though.

    They're all good, hard to pick a -2. Went with FYEO because rarely is a Bond film more memorable/better than the corresponding Fleming story, IMO.

    POAL is the only short story to later be referenced in a Fleming novel, so far as I can tell. They have all been at least name checked or have had elements adapted in the films.
