I just find summertime too crowded. Maybe that's a false perception. I also find going to the movie on a cold day more comforting.

Given LTK's summery vibes, I'd say Summer probably felt really fitting for it.
My first Bond in theaters was DAD and with the whole ice theme Christmas felt appropriate. Then CR started off in b&w, QOS had a final scene in the snow, SF was rainy trhouhgout, SP's last shot was in London and NTTD's first scene was in snowy Norway. So I suppose for me a Bond film has always been fitting for a more autumn/winter kind of atmosphere.
