    I did glider flying years ago, and still have a very strong interest in anything aviation-related, so flying it is! Women are often the best pilots, after all.

    All of this! I'd love to learn to scuba dive but aviation is very much my thing. And now I can hear Honor's voice saying "Grip the stick firmly."

    Okay well lets dive into the shocking announcement and give ourselves a would you rather question to ponder!

    Would you rather Amazon start with new behind the scenes talent OR keep a few EON reliable old hands in the Bond family?

    With the announcement it was clear that Barbara and Michael will still be in a joint venture but no longer in creative control. This means that we might see some key folks from previous adventures come back for the Amazon led project.

    But is that a good thing? Or would you rather that Amazon really take a totally fresh approach and go get new talent to help bring Bond 26 to the BIG screen?

    If Amazon wants their first Bond film to be successful, they would try and retain as much as the EON crew as possible. The big 3 being special effects supervisor Chris Corbould, main title designer Daniel Kleinman, and production designer Dennis Gassner. I would also say bring back David Arnold as well.

    I think Corbould was retiring from Bond anyway/stepping back from effects to direct (I could be wrong). I'd love to see Kleinman return, and many of the others involved with Bond (there are so many talented people who've worked on the recent ones, many of whom we wouldn't know). Honestly, I'd even be fine with Purvis and Wade doing a first draft of a script or a treatment if they haven't done already.

    I can see Amazon not doing this ultimately, or indeed certain individuals stepping back if EON aren't involved. But I'd want to keep as many as possible.

    Agree with the above - keep some of the old guard, like Chris Corbould, Dennis Gassner, the stunt team, prop makers, Martin Campbell, David Arnold and that PA who makes the best coffee, because there'll be long shifts. Move on from Purvis and Wade; Danny Kleinman. Time for some fresh ideas on screen.

    Yes I'm sure I remember Corbould saying he'd done his last Bond too. I'd love Kleinman back, but he's nearly 70 so I guess it depends if he feels it's time to move on as well, hopefully not.
    I also have nothing against Purvis & Wade but I feel it's more unlikely they will be back as they really are part of the creative rather than technical side of it, and the whole creative team is new.

    They should at least keep Daniel Kleinman. Age is only a number. If he feels he can still make the titles then he should

    I hope they keep the main EON crew, at least initially. That way it will still feel like Bond and it'll be a smooth transition

    I have heard a few suggest Martin Campbell, he's 81 years old, not sure if he'd come back to do the grind and I am not sure that he'd be interested in launching another Bond into the role.

    Didn't realize that Daniel K. was in his seventies. Wow! I love his titles and would welcome his return.

    I hope that David Arnold is coaxed back. It would definitely sound like a Bond movie if he's composing the score.

    It's easy to underestimate the impact of a soundtrack on a movie. It can be like an old and trusted friend, holding your hand through the journey. I really hope Arnold has been contacted

    Has has been doing it for thirty years don't forget, and before that he did the music video for Licence To Kill; he's been a while in Bond land.

    I wouldn't be massively excited if he did, but equally it wouldn't be a dealbreaker and I know how much it would mean to so many others, so would happily accept it.
    I think you're right that it may take coaxing: he doesn't really seem to do film scores anymore, and the thought of working for a massive studio may not be an enticing idea.

    I wouldn't mind a proper Zimmer effort: I got the impression he didn't have a lot of time on NTTD and had to share it, but I thought what we got worked well enough for the film.

    I wouldn't mind seeing Alexander Witt make the jump to directing. He could bring back a John Glen type flavour with a focus on practical stunt-work and shooting in camera.

    I'm gutted about the news. I have zero faith in Amazon and it's 'bold' leader (pun intended).
    I'd love them to keep some of the old hands, but thus news for me spells th death of Bond.

    He's apparently already directing movies for Amazon. I don't know if you knew that.

    I'd like Lindy Hemming (costumer designer from GE to CR), Daniel Kleinman, Dennis Gassner (production designer from QOS, SF, and SP), and David Arnold to return. Purvis and Wade as well, in terms of drafting the story, with someone else penning the final script.

    No Danny Kleinman would be a real shame. If you want to keep some Bond feel alive for the next one, they should call him asap.

    Good stuff and some great points raised by most. Looks like most of the members would prefer if Amazon had some creative vets returning to help with the transition to the new team. Wonder what will actually happen!

    Next up, was it Amazon who made this decision or was it EON. Lets talk about streaming!

    Would you rather Bond is always available to stream on PRIME OR only available at certain times to stream?

    I am unclear on who decided that Bond movies were not always available to Prime members to stream. Rent or buy? Sure they are there, but what about times when you could stream the movies at no cost?

    Now that Amazon is in creative control would you rather they make the films available to stream always for Prime Members, or do you prefer that only for limited time are they available for streaming on demand?

    I really don't understand the question. Do I want to be able to stream Bond movies all the time or only sometimes? Why would the latter be better...provided one wants to stream?

    That being said, I'm not going into streaming either way. If future Bond films won't be available on physical media, so be it. I'll just settle down with those I have. So I guess I really give a flying you-know-what about the outcome of this question.

    I own all on physical media. However, I pay for prime and I just want to be able to click a Bond film from my couch without having to get up
