A difficult queston, now that I've hd thee pleasure of buying rather expensive suits myself, and understand the difference in quality and all-round experience. And having a good bottle of champagne is also a highly enjoyable experience. At the same time all those gadgets are cool, and I'd be highly interested to see if Q could upgrade one of my model trains.
However, right now I'm most concearned with the freedom of Ukraine, so I'll ask Q to get me some novelty gadgets to help the Ukrainians win the war. In return I'll buy him a very nice fishing rod.
Moving on to another scenario:
Would you rather watch QOS OR SP?
Lets have a battle of the Daniel Craig movies. This are his least liked films, or at least ones that don't seem to get much love here.
In one corner, a fast paced adventure. Some great action set pieces. Editing that makes it difficult to follow the action. We have an unrealistic jump from a plane. An evil organization that has people "everywhere" called Quantum. We have Bond being disavowed again. Some weird character beats with Bond dumping Camille in the arms of a stranger at a marina and Bond dumping his fellow spy and friend Mathis in a dumpster.
In the other corner, a long winded adventure. We have some nice action set pieces and a foster brother Blofeld. We have an adventure that retcons in the previous 3 films and tries to say it was SPECTRE all along. We have an evil organization that has infiltrated intelligence organizations around the world.
Both films feature Mr. White, Judi Dench as M, although SP is a blink and you will miss it performance. We have a first time Bond director against a returning Bond director.
Which one is going into your Blu-Ray player?
QOS feels too generic, like a Bourne knock off that could have starred Gerard Butler.
Second only to CR in my opinion.
Returning to the current question, I think I slightly prefer SP at the moment.

SP is a bit more flawed from a script perspective, and even with the comparatively polished cinematography/editing I don't think the creative choices themselves feel as coherent as Craig's other films (ie. the yellow tinged colour palette which arguably adds little, and even something as impressive as the long opening take lacks tension and beyond 'looking cool' serves little purpose). That said I tend to gravitate towards it a bit more as it feels more like a Bond film and simply has that mixture of absurdity/fantasy mixed with a bit of darkness, which is what I personally prefer out of my 007 adventures.
So yeah, I guess it's SP. But I do revisit QOS on occasion. Regardless I think Craig's other films stand out much more.
Spectre is a page-one rewrite away from being a great Bond film.
So I would rather watch QoS. It's also nice and compact, Spectre does tend to drag on a little bit at 2hr 30mins.
Sometimes it is tough to choose! LOL! I respect those that can't.
I just find both movies to be towards the bottom for me personally. There are so many other Bond films I’d rather watch personally haha.
Would you rather spend New Years Eve with Tiger Tanaka OR Marc-Ange Draco?
One would have an underground subway to avoid traffic, a wonderful bathing area with assistants who wouldn't get soap in your eye. He'd have ninjas to protect you if things got crazy and even rocket cigarettes if things go really out of hand.
The other offers a wonderful sense of sophistication. Corsican brandy, plays chess and other games with. He has connections to the underworld which likely means some wonderful parties to attend. Marc-Ange can also supply helicopters if a mountain rendezvous is in the offing.
Which one are you spending New Years with?
Tanaka or Draco. That's a very, very difficult question. But when it comes to Nye, I think I'd go for Draco. He's got that boisterous fun southern European blood that will make sure your evening will go utterly different from what you expected.
Agreed. I generally prefer to rewatch almost any of the ones from the 1962-1987 era myself.
Same here, but my cutoff point is 97 personally. Any thing afterward I usually find myself watching as part of a “Bond marathon.”
