Would you rather fix the alley stunt from DAF OR the barrel roll stunt from TMWTGG?

Neither, it is what it is...

But. If I have to choose I'd say the whistle. It's just a silly sound effect slapped on anotherwise phenomenal stunt.

The DAF makes no sense but I can live with it.

@RichardTheBruce wow that Agent Under Fire cover is amazing!!

I think they somewhat re-did the DAF stunt in Octopussy. I think Guy Hamilton realized that he needed to add that extra something to the chase in DAF, because it's a Bond film. So I think he didn't really mind how it came out. For TMWTTG, well, it's a Moore Bond film, so the whistle isn't a surprise, but a great Bond stunt still. It's the same as the Tarzan yell in Octopussy. All these things doesn't make Moore's Bond lesser. His portrayal called for them. Even John Barry didn't want to use the electric guitar on the Bond theme for Moore's Bond. But Moore's Bond is good at what he does. He makes his acting look easy, when it really isn't.
  • If the slide whistle was replaced with the Bond theme, the chase scene improves a lot more than the DAF chase scene if the wheels are on the right side. So I think I'll fix the TMWTGG

    Barrel roll 100%
It's one of the greatest stunts in the history of cinema, that's overshadowed by a silly gag.
