    Dalton all the way.
We suffered enough with the Brossa era!

I'd go for Dalton in a gritty, faithful adaptation of TMWTGG (plus or minus the assassination attempt) to close out his tenure.
  • Tim Dalton please any day of the week although Brosnan would be ok too

    This is a though one.
Timmy was robbed the oportunity of a third outing, and Brosnie left with a very mid last one. However, i actually consider Everything or Nothing to be the canon ending of the classic era. So i think i'd go with Daltz.
A videogame with him as Bond one last time ala the From Russia With Love game adapting the draft scripts of The Property of a Lady would be amazing.

I'm meaning to get around to reading Mark Millar's King of Spies, the main character of which does look like bearded silver fox Brosnan. No disrespect to Timmy, I think he'd give the better performance but old man Pierce still does for it me.

Dalton. Two films just wasn't enough and neither of them fully nailed his potential as Bond. Let's right that historical wrong. Dalton for the trilogy!

How about Dalton in a close adaptation of The Authorized Biography of 007?

You'd have to age Bond up, but it might work. And Ursula Andress is still around!

    I truly love that book.

And yes, Dalton would be an awesome choice.

Damn. I didn’t know this is the Bond film I need to see….

Both would be great, and likely very different stories to tell.

But Dalton would be of most interest to me.

I don't really want an older Bond film, so if it's a choice I guess that means I'll take the one who's 70 over the 77 year-old! So, Pierce then. I think he's the better Bond too, to be honest.

I'd welcome both, since I am also a big fan of both. Yet, Tim is my absolute favourite so I'll go for him if I have to choose.

Dalton for me too. Because he only had two bites of the cherry. I wouldn't like to say which actor I prefer in the role. I liked them both.
  • Are we speaking about a one-off live-action movie that would be released today? As much as I love Dalton, if it is the case, I would go with Brosnan. Dalton is too old now and it would be ridiculous to see an operative of his age on the field. It's still possible to deage him, like Lucasfilms did with Ford in the last Indiana Jones, but I have some doubts about the use of such tech for a whole movie. If we're speaking about a video game or a motion capture film, then Dalton. But again, for a live-action film, I would go with Brosnan who is younger and better fit for the role.

By TPOAL, you're speaking about the untitled script written by Ruggiero and Wilson (and later rewritten by Davis and Osborn)? By all accounts, the movie would already have been titled GoldenEye at the time. I would love to see a video game adaptation of it though!

Pierce. Both would be fine, but yes ... Pierce.

    Brosnan.

I like Dalton more but his Bond doesn't have enough weight to make a comeback.

    Brosnan

Mainly because I think Brosnan still had sides to his Bond we never got to see, whereas I think Dalton gave his full portrayal in his two films and it would probably be more of the same.

Both actors are too old now?

Pierce is playing a 92 year old (!) in his latest film release The Last Rifleman. He was aged a bit for the role. Quite a dramatic transformation.

I thin Brosnan would look cool if he played an older Bond with a look similar to his Doctor Fate role.

I suppose if Ian Fleming had lived a long life and written a series of 'older Bond' novels - Bond in his 70s and a retired 00 but asked back to the service - then sure, an older Bond actor returning to the role would make sense but Fleming never wrote the 'Adventures of old James Bond' so I'd rather pass on the idea of an older Bond (Brosnan or Dalton) back for one final mission. Some things are best left undone. ;)
  • The other argument for no more 'old' Bond adventures, we already went there with Craig very recently.

In that first picture, I always think that Pierce looks like Joe Biden.

Narrowly, I would pick Tim, because Pierce played Bond for the right amount of time. I consider Everything or Nothing as his true finale.

Even though Ian Fleming didn't live enough. Ironically, Kingsley Amis wanted to write a short story where Bond comes out of retirement. It ends with Bond getting killed by a bazooka welding bartender, on a train!

a bit harsh comparing to Pierce to.“slow Joe“. Still could be worse. He could look like Donald “ i am not a crook“ Trump!

That seems to be the best way to end this would you rather!

Lets move on shall we. Looking back on villains who have battled Mister Bond they had style! Whether it was a nicely decorated liar or the clothes they wore. The villains knew style and how to live in the finer things. Some of lairs were wonderful places and others were more suited for overlooking the destruction of the world. For this would you rather lets ask the question:

Would you rather spend a week vacation on Scaramanga's island OR Sanchez's mansion?

In one corner, an island in Thailand with a beautiful view of the ocean. A butler and a single man who looks after the property. We have a fun house for your pleasure and a sophisticated camera security system to keep an eye on everyone. Comes with a junk boat to help you navigate the foreign waters!

In the other corner, a beautiful South American mansion with weird sculptures that will startle you each morning. An open air patio to share a coffee with someone. A car that will help you navigate from the top of the mansion to the beach area. You will need to take a boat to get to the mainland.

Which one are you spending a week at?

Pierce, if you can believe that.

As for the new one, I'd have to pick Scaramanga's island, both for the peace and solitude but also the gorgeous views.
