    I think Rosie is more vulnerable. Not that I'd wish to vulnerate her (looked the term up, it exists but is marked as "obsolete"). But I still think about her as more of a victim than an active villain/henchwoman. I guess I'd even try to save her from the poisonous darts. So except for her Afro wig, I have a soft spot for her. May Day, not so much, though in the right setting I'd find her rather attractive as well. Just not if I have to do judo with her.

    I always had a thing for Sophie Marceau in her prime, so I'll go for her. Plus, while Elektra and TWINE are seriously flawed, I prefer both to Miranda and DAD. That said, Rosamund Pike is a good actress who should have had a better role in a better Bond film. (On a side note, I always thought she would have made a fine Mina Murray).

    No offense to the lovely and talented Rosamund Pike but I’ve never found the character of Miranda to be that compelling. Electra King as written (while not perfect) Is still interesting. Plus …….

    For the record, I know of one aerospace writer that absolutely HATES the Bond films, but still gives TWINE a pass because of the presence of Sophie Marceau. She is really that lovely - a real highlight of the Brosnan era IMO. And Ms. Marceau’s birthday is a week from today (November 17th) so that is another point in her favor.

    I got no interest in attempt to go fencing so that only leaves the other. Concur with others Frost is something of a bland forgettable character while Electra commands a much stronger screen presence. Therefore you got a winner for this particular round.

    It would be fun at the roulette, blackjack tables and slots with Electra King as company if you're allowed to play as the question suggests.

    Interesting to see the love for Electra. She does seem to be a commanding presence and for sure a beauty!

    I was going to do one for Daniel's films but he didn't really have any truly bad women. The only one is Severine and she really is caught in a bad place.

    So lets move to the many drinks of James Bond and see which one you might prefer.

    I'm rather sure that the "indifferently blended" and "overdose of bon bois" remarks are just another showoff remark by Connery's Bond, and I'm ready to have a taste of Colonel Smithers' brandy myself to find out rather than settle for yet another sugary cocktail. Plus, who wants to be in Kentucky...especially now...no, strike that.

    I love the American south. So much warm hospitality and southern comfort. I would be tempted to have a mint julep on the porch with Auric. If I could wear the blue three piece that Bond wears that would be icing on the cake.

    I had a mint julep with my Hot Brown at the Brown Hotel Louisville Kentucky in September. Recommended.

    So I'd go with London and Colonel Smithers' brandy expecting a fine experience.

    I tried brandy many years ago and enjoyed but haven't had a mint julep before so I'll go with that. I heard that some singers drink brandy before a performance as it lubricates the vocal chords. Old wives tale or fact? As a side thought, what are Bond and Largo drinking after the clay shooting scene?

    Echoing some sentiments above, I'd rather not go to Kentucky - or any of the other states - for the next four years, so I'll get my dinner jacket dry-cleaned and meet M and Smithers for dinner.

    Umm, nearly half of us didn't vote for him. The US is a pretty damaged country right now. I fear for the world when an admittedly sometimes imperial but fundamentally liberal democracy starts to collapse.

    Well, Ive already been to london, and haven't been to Kentucky. So for me, Mint Julep please. With ice. If you can spare it.

    London - despite the "indifferently blended brandy." Plus, as I'm watching A HARD DAY'S NIGHT as I type this, perhaps Smithers (actor Richard Vernon) could introduce me! :D
