I concur! YOLT is great, but OHMSS is inspired!

That is probably the toughest choice presented to me so far in this thread.
I rank OHMSS and YOLT as the 1st and 2nd greatest Bond soundtracks respectively.
While OHMSS may objectively be the superior score, YOLT is the score I listen to most often, thus probably making it my personal favorite.

OHMSS for me, although YOLT is a (very) close second.

I think the peak is YOLT-OHMSS-DAF but OHMSS is clearly the superior film and barely the superior score.

Yup, that's the truly magical triumvirate for me too!

I think this would have been tighter, had it been OHMSS score vs MR score OR OHMSS score vs TLD score.

Pass for me, it's hard! 😅 I love both, and both put in higher regard.

Both scores are superb. I guess OHMSS has the edge for me because it's the better film.

It’s close, but OHMSS. Particularly, because it helped make this timeless classic better.

1968 Lion in Winter; 1969 Midnight Cowboy & OHMSS. What genius does this?

    OHMSS for me.
I love them both, but Majesty's has the upper hand just slightly.

Listening the a film score is also a way for me to get back into that film's atmosphere without having to rewatch it. It's a way of reliving that film.

And while YOLT has a great score, OHMSS has an even better score, and that score takes me back to one of my favourite films so I have to go for that one.

Tough one but the winner is..........OHMSS.

A battle of the soundtracks was a rather lop sided affair, though it did spark lots of entries. Lots to like with both and OHMSS is the clear winner.

Okay on to another one, though not soundtrack related...

Would you rather ride the train with Tatiana (FRWL) OR Solitaire (LALD)?

You can consider the companion, the train or the region it's travelling through or any other reason you would like to come up with!
  • This is a tough one. I’d probably have to pick Solitare purely because of my crush on Jane Seymour.

The Orient Express on its own already does the trick, but with Tania it sounds even lovelier. Easy pick this one.

Count me in the minority that's happily selecting Solitaire then. Jane Seymour is one timeless beauty.

I agree, but the character of Solitaire, although gorgeous as well, was tricked out of her virginity, and while on the train, seemed to be a young woman stuck in a form of arrested development, whereas Tatiana was a woman who was playfull, seemingly experienced and in the art of seduction, and, uh, would just.... "take it off"...

Solitaire. No doubt about it. She's the loveliest Bond girl of them all, in my opinion.

Great stuff, both companions getting some love. Lets keep this on the rails and pit another lovely female companions against each other.

Would you rather ride the train with Anya (Spy) OR Madeleine (SP)?

Again you can consider the companion, the destination or any other reasons for your choice.

So the choice is between an utterly gorgeous intelligent, independent, sophisticated and stylish French mademoiselle who can handle a gun and a mindless bimbo who spends most of her time screaming and is only adept at taking credit for the work you do? How is it even a question? We are talking completely different leagues here!
