After Shirley sings "Gooooldfinger", I hear "Dah DAAAAAAH Dah."
Yet in many versions of the song, it goes, "Dah DAH DAH DAH Dah."
Which one is it? Are both out there? Is "my" version the result of poor recording quality? Frankly, the second option has always bothered me. I hear three "words", not five.
Definitely a different vibe. I still prefer to hear Dame Shirley belt it out and the brass is very welcome. I think Newley's works on a low key kind of way and I can appreciate it too. It was not the version that was suitable for the film.
I have heard it was the demo track used to show the way? Not sure if that is correct or not.
If EON didn't prepare some kind of Goldfinger 60th Anniversary 4k restoration/collector/steelbook, then surely WB must be getting close to that 4k Connery Collection release.
These pictures showed every Bond fan's dream 😅
I wish I could be there. It looks amazing.

The homer in the boot is a lovely fun touch.
I'm honestly astonished. I would have thought him at least 60. (Louis Jourdan was well over 60 in OP! Even Walken was older in AVTAK than Vernon in GF. Strange world.)
Some people have golden genes.
