For those who are interested, I'm an aspiring filmmaker, and for some time now i've started with a project which, if possible, i would like to bring to the small screen. The project in question is a live-action television series based on one of my favorite childhood series and franchises overall, Ben 10, and it's something very ambitious i've been thinking about.

Before continuing, i would like to provide a little context about the franchise as i am aware that many will not know what i am talking about:
Ben 10 is an American media franchise conceived by Man of Action, produced by Cartoon Network Studios, and owned by Warner Bros. Entertainment. The franchise revolves around a young boy named Ben Tennyson, who discovers the Omnitrix — a high-tech, extraterrestrial device shaped like a wristwatch. This remarkable gadget contains the DNA of various alien species, allowing Ben to transform into them at will. Initially, the Omnitrix features ten alien transformations, but over time, Ben gains the ability to unlock additional species.

My goal with this series is to do justice to the franchise within the (live-action) genre. Ben 10 is known to have had two failed attempts to bring it to real life in its story, and i want to show that it can be done and turn out well (without discrediting the work that Alex Winter did with his two films, of course).

Something important to highlight is that one of the many ideas i had in mind regarding this project was to have it be a spiritual sequel to the original 2005 series. ¿Why do i say spiritual? you might be wondering, well as you've probably already noticed on the title, Ben Tennyson is not the main protagonist of this series, but his cousin Gwen. The concept is, in fact, something already seen within the franchise, but has not been explored beyond three separate appearances in different series, and that's also partly why i decided to use this version. My intention is to do something different with the characters, and since these are incarnations from an alternate timeline in-universe, i think this would be the perfect opportunity to do that.

I already have an idea about what i want to do for the series, and I'm currently writing a draft script for the pilot episode. I hope to share more details as i progress with it.
