    Felix stays in the helicopter while Bond dives into the underwater fracas. I had heard the UA was clear that Bond was to be the star of the picture and Leiter would often get a messenger role or one of cleaning up the mess.

    In the EON films:
    • DN Leiter waits for Bond and only shows up when Bond hasn't returned in the given time.
    • GF Leiter is one of the people put to sleep during Grand Slam but is not seen fighting or even shooting his pistol.
    • TB stays in the helicopter while Bond dives in
    • DAF is in one of the helicopters that attack the oil rig, this might be the closest he gets to the action of a climax.
    • LALD is on the boat while Quarrel Junior and Bond place the charges.
    • TLD watches and acts as Bond's eyes for Bond as he storms Whitakers place.
    • LTK is recovering, only seen in the last scene in good spirits and in a hospital.
