I dunno they seemed in a hurry to get the deal done and bring some producers on board. :-??
It sounds like you're describing Eon more or less. or Megalopolis. Or maybe Horizon.
Any of the three would be fantastic.
There’s always another Bond movie for them to do.
I just think it is a little eerie that John Williams stated a few years ago, at the age of 90 that he'd love to composer the Bond film, and now two of his old collaboraters could possibly be heading the project. Ofcourse when you're closing in on a century old a few years makes a big difference in terms of where your priorities might be, but if he's still healthy and fit I think it's a (slim) possibility he could still do it.
Well, it’s only been 12 days since they announced new producers to be fair. I think it’s just a case of being very early into this process.
I think "the process" has been active long before the new producers, or the Amazon deal, were announced.
Yes, there have been murmurs about a script being in development for at least as long as the Cuaron rumours.
Why do you think that?
I imagine something has been going on, yes, but I think it's reasonable to assume it's still early. The Cuaron rumours I don't think have been about long anyway and script development takes time.
I can't give an exact date of when we'll get something, and all we can do is await announcements. We know they're working on it (or at least that's what they've said publicly). As I've said (and believe increasingly so) none of us can predict the future and we're utterly powerless in this. Hopefully we'll get a new Bond film, and obviously we're in for some news at some point. So let's see!
Yes, but history in some unique ways does repeat itself!
Or David Arnold could be back. Michael Giacchino would be my choice based on his work (intimating John Barry though), for The Incredibles 1 & 2. John Murphy would be my other choice.
I just don't think they are going back to any of the main EON players. Giacchino could do it, though he can sound imitative when doing genre work. I would ad John Powell to that list.
They have plenty of time. I don't think it's that hard to choose a director or an actor.
I agree, but if they want to hit 2027 then time is running out and they will have to make a decision, unless they want to release literally on the 31st of December.
It seems like this Paris Cinema Club do put their Q&As on YouTube after a couple of weeks so maybe we'll see it.
From one fan to another, you don't want them to rush.
They can release it even in 2026. They have time.
Oh, no, I think them taking their time is the best outcome. If we don't see Bond until 2028 so be it.
