What If (Alternate Scenario): What if a random man didn't arrived to stop the ticking bomb in GF?

We already have the 'What If' talking about the possible scenarios in the real life world of Bond.

I've been thinking of this for a long time.
I'd liked to discuss the things that could possibly happen in the films themselves, the scripts/plot points, Bond is all about chances, but let's take this what if into an alternate scenarios of what could've happened had each plot points or scenes took a different way/direction (gone wrong, the other way).

Let's start with For Your Eyes Only, we all know that entire climax of FYEO all happened with the help of the bird, yes, Max The Parrot, when the Parrot (who thankfully knows how to speak) revealed where Kristatos and his men were going ("To St. Cyril's! To St. Cyril's"), but let's take a different scenario instead:

What if Max The Parrot couldn't speak and didn't gave Bond and Melina the location of Kristatos and his group?

I would think Bond would have contacted Columbo and shared a scene where they discuss possible spots for Kristatos to head. Might be similar to Bond and Willard Whyte in DAF when they are examining the map. Except no one would exclaim "Baha". Instead we'd get "St. Cyrils!"

Well heck Max could easily tap out the location in morse code, recognizable to Bond through his naval background.

With that deeper connection, Max would likely take part in the assault on the mountaintop monastery. And play a key role in how the ATAC device is prevented from falling into the hands of the Soviet Union. Naturally extending into the final scene, where events provide Max with a special ladybird friend, maybe a Scarlet macaw.

A natural for a spinoff film or tv series expanding the Bondiverse back in the early 80s.

    Anyway, Max. Max Max Max.

We'd be paralysed - at the Russians' mercy. Securing the ATAC transmitter would surely feather their nest. The British navy's Polaris fleet would be rendered useless. They'd be on the back talon, as if their wings had been clipped. Orders would be countermanded, and even worse - their own submarines ordered to attack their own cities. "Observe, Mr Bond - the instruments of Max destruction."

General Gogol would call the parrot a genius, move him to Moscow and give him a million bucks in hard crackers. The whole thought of this happening in real life is nuts, it shakes me to macaw. It would be a real birden to live with.

    Those are good answers.

Let's move on to the another scenario, let's go back to 1964! Goldfinger:

Like what I've said in my original post in this thread, Bond is no doubt, a determined man, but most of the nerve-wracking situations have been handled by luck (of course, Bond is the man of luck), the one example here is in Goldfinger, when Bond was struggling to disable the bomb (almost counting in near second before giving anyone that Kiss Kiss Bang Bang literal explosion), there’s a man who came to stop the bomb at 007 seconds! (Really? Done that in a Roger Moore Eyebrow Raised fashion) what a luck that he was saved by the bell (no, not, Mrs. Bell, sorry, not by any chance), but looking through the lens of reality, let's discuss this:

What if the man (forgot his name) didn't arrived to stop the bomb?

@SIS_HQ a fine idea for a thread, but maybe give everyone a chance to respond before moving onto the next scenario.
    Just a thought.

I would also like to award @QBranch post of the week for his post.
    A fine job Sir.

I think Bond was about to tear the cables out of the 'atomic device' which would have either stopped it dead or contaminated Fort Knox for 57 years..!

People wouldn't be complaining about Thunderball's boring underwater scenes.

I found that post fowl...oh wait that is a bird brained thing for me to say. Of course @QBranch delivered a post with eagle eyed accuracy to the question. LOL!

Then 007 would defuse it as he's meant to.
