Changed my Bond exhibition a bit again to show some of the new artwork from last years Blu-ray single disc releases.
I never have all of it on display, I like variation :)

Picked up the James Bond Archives: Spectre Edition for a cool £27. I'm actually overwhelmed at how comprehensive and lovingly made it is. Definitely the best Bond related product out there.

Yes, that one and the Bond By Design (Spectre edition) are the two best books out there!

That's next on my list. I have the Movie Posters book (which is also excellent), so I am very much looking forward to it. Although I may have to wait a bit because I confess to overspending in the gift shop at the Bond in Motion exhibition! Which reminds me, I'll get some pics of my purchases...

I bought an album of all (to date) Bond Main Title songs in the '70s and it turned out to be shit-quality instrumental cover versions. Yours looks legitimate.

It certainly is. All original tracks. Great to listen to.

Blimey! I bought this way back in the early 80's! I think i still have it on vinyl somewhere!

I loved the song Nobody Does It Better so much after seeing TSWLM this was an essential purchase!

Got this figure from a 007 Magazine convention. It's over 23 years old. Not sure how readily available they are as it was a very limited edition.

Will have to sort my loft out for all my other Bond memorabilia......

I decided to take the 2002 Aston Martin out the garage and give it a ride through the landscape.
I made some photos for you of the panorama and car when I stopped for a break.

Ah, I own that one too. I broke one of the target seeking shotguns though.

For some reason pics turned yellow but rest assured the poster looks virtually new (considering I could've gone on 2 vacations for it , it ought to be :P

A friend at work recently sent me a link to a t-shirt she happened to come across. I really like it, so have ordered one. https://www.teezily.com/for-true-fan-only-007#/product=32&color=black&side=front

Looks interesting. Can't quite follow some of them.

1987 is meaning nothing to me - Nazi shurikan?

I assume the figure waving is 'living' and the sun meaning 'daylights'.....

A figure I got at a Bond convention about 23 years ago!

Not sure how many were made but I think they're pretty rare.

That's a nice figure, simply love Connery's shooting from the hip stance.

Yeah I just had to have it. I knew they wouldn't manufacture many.

So question for the fellow collectors here - are there Bond things you won't bother pursuing? Anything Bond related I come across at a second hand store, that is cheap, I'll grab (doesn't happen much - Bond merchandise is fairly uncommon in my country - aside from books and dvds) But I decided in not collecting any cars (I have about 15 in total but that's it - because I got them for a steal a while ago). My pride and joy are the Victory Games Role Playing Games (full set of 17) and the Victory Games Board Games (full set of 5). The artwork and box is terrific for these. I also collect books about Bond - but I won't pick up every edition of every book. Funnily enough I don't pursue DVDs and VHS's unless a bargain. I have the 23 Film 50th Blu ray 2012 set and picked up the Skyfall and Spectre steelbooks as they were released.

So to recap - I don't pursue Cars, figures or posters.

I do collect Books about Bond. (And the pan books, movie tie-ins and original hardcovers - many of which I was lucky enough to get cheap when I was young)

What don't you actively hunt out? What have you had to forgo or sold?

Anyone ever buy a Walter ppk BB gun or ga powered?
Considering buying one just to have. I heard they are somewhat cheap.

I was at a book fair recently and found a few gems for my collection.

First of all, a couple of novelisations. I've never read any of the novelisations, so finding a couple of nice first editions for 2£ each was lovely.
    jf8vkKul.jpg

Next up, a couple of continuation paperbacks. Again, never read those two, or in fact any of the continuation novels apart from two.
    khl5DQul.jpg

A first edition hardcover of Gardner's Licence Renewed.
    NtUN111l.jpg

And finally, the crown jewels. A first edition hardcover of The Man With The Golden Gun!
    OjPbadrl.jpg

I was already very happy with my findings, but a first edition Fleming sent me in heaven! Never thought I'd own one! It was quite expensive for a book, but to be honest I'd have thought a first edition Fleming would be much more expensive.
