Now he's everywhere! ;)
I wish I could be like that. It'd certainly save a lot of space in my house for one thing! Alas, I am old fashioned enough and old enough to remember when there were phyically real "things" like books, magazines, videos, cassette tapes and the like. All of this "in the ether" stuff doesn't really satisfy me from a collecting point of view. I know it works for some people though, but the collector in me dies hard. :)
I’m surprised that they are even allowed to have it advertised as James Bond, and not something like ‘Agent 7’. Looks decent for an unlicensed figure.
Just wait until Eon's lawyers get to learn about it! >:)
I feel exactly as @Dragonpol on this matter. I wish I was this way! If you think about it, you get just as much out of the franchise as someone like Zaritsky (whom I think is awesome), whom has an entire floor of their house dedicated to Bond memorabilia. But, Like @Dragonpol, my small apartment (much to the shagrin of my girlfriend) is filled with different editions of the novels, several sets of the films, magazines, posters, the odd Lego Aston Martin DB5... I want everyone around to know I'm a Bond fan... ;)
This is a goal I'm slowly moving towards too @M16_Cart, at least up to a point. For the past couple of years I've taken steps to downsize the amount of belongings I own, from clothes to books and my physical film collection. And I must say, as hard as it is when you try to decide what to keep or not, the feeling afterwards when you actually have space to spare is totally worth it.
For the things I do keep I plan to find smart storage solutions for, so that they are easily available, but not on display all the time – like my book collection for example. Some books can be on display, but there's no need to fill the shelves with the entire collection.
To get to the front door, I must use a jetpack.
Your collection is amazing. Defintely worth it that you don't have more than a metre square for your movements ;)
I’m the exact opposite. I want nobody to know anything about my hobbies. I know that is very weird, but I just can’t express it like that for some reason. Most of my Bond stuff is either just normal DVDs and books among other DVDs and books or stuff that doesn’t scream „Bond Fan“, like clothes or the stainless steel Parker Jotter pen from GoldenEye. It has taken me years to even let my girlfriend in on what I like and how much of a Bond fan I really am. She is now trying to coax me out of my shell and has gotten me a few things that are a bit more obvious, but it’s still all very tame. I do live vicariously through all of you, though!

I don't think the pen from GoldenEye screams "Bond Fan" really.
I had a friend round on Saturday to watch TLD with me and she asked if my bedroom was just a shrine full of Bond stuff. I admitted it pretty much was (plus aviation stuff, general spy stuff, cuddly animals and a lot of books).
Finally in the process of putting together display racks for the collection, so should have it all on the shelf in the next few weeks. I'm sorting through bags and boxes and coming across items I hadn't seen in years.
Yeah, gotta keep him gagged so there's no hope of rescue...
Look forward to seeing the pics soon QBranch! :-bd
I look forward to seeing that, whatever it is!
Following the recent news of the damage to the O2 Arena/Millennium Dome, here is a look back at a TWINE promo, in as-new/unused condition - a competition scratch card to win a trip to The Dome:
Cafe Martinique matchbook - not sure whether these were on set in TB, but nevertheless a neat little one to go with the restaurant menu. Note the stain on one side, which I can only assume is a splash of Dom Perignon '55.
Inner side namecheck: overlooking Paradise Lake - Scene of the James Bond Film Thunderball.
I like how the scratch card is bright and colourful, and how I'll never know if it's a winner.
I've owned a couple of TWINE standees over the years which use that same gold crosshairs design.
I can never resist scratching off the silver, just in case! Got a Casino Royale scratchcard somewhere. I did not win whatever it was.
Yes, I remember those. There were ones for Quantum of Solace too. I think I have a few of those somewhere but I've not seen them in years. I recall there being scratchcards free with The Sun to promote GoldenEye and I think I still have some of them too!
Have that book, mate! Really well researched and written. Its companion book on The Living Daylights is equally excellent!
