LTK, third worst James Bond film, simply because it's not a Bond film, it doesn't have that feeling. It's just a cop with some personal revenge story. So OHMSS it is:
    20. Licence To Kill
    19. You Only Live Twice
    18. Tomorrow Never Dies
    17. A View To A Kill
    16. Diamonds Are Forever
    15.The World Is Not Enough
    14. Goldfinger
    13. The Living Daylights
    12. Live And Let Die
    11. Thunderball
    10. Quantum Of Solace
    9. Goldeneye
    8. Casino Royale
    7. For Your Eyes Only
    6. On Her Majesty's Secret Service

On Her Majesty's Secret Service is the best movie of the franchise. Licence To Kill is one of the best. But has some flaws (It's too American and cheap looking).
  • @0iker0 Looking at your list, I'm confused. You rank LTK low because you think itdoesn't feel like a Bond film, but QOS is higher, so I guess that means you think it does???

Oh, that's harder. LTK has my favourite Bond actor, and is a great, gritty film, but OHMSS is number two in my top five, and has been for forever, so it'll have to be On Her Majesty's Secret Service but I love both of 'em, and greatly looking forward to seeing both on blu-ray in the not too distance future!

    LTK.
Second best Bond versus the worst.
    Better action;
    far better girls;
Sanchez is better than old Blofeld.

Definitely License to Kill - for me, a better overall film and a much better Bond.

OHMSS in a heartbeat. John Barry music, more classic era, better locations, stronger story. I rank Dalton and Davi higher than Lazenby and Savalas but Catherine Schell and Diana Rigg totally trump Talisa Soto and Carey Lowell.

OHMSS. One of the best films based on arguably the best Fleming novel.

They're both great movies, but On Her Majesty's Secret Service takes it by an avalanche.

This is a very close one for me, but I'm going to with OHMSS due to Irma Bunt doing a better job of putting Bond's kiwis to the grinder than Dario did.

I think QOS is one of the most underrated movies of the series. It's true that it doesn't feel as a Bond movie as in another ones, but it's still a great BOND movie. I mean, it has humor, Bond has a mission (not only a personal issue), it has great action... I like to think that the decrease of Bond feeling is pursued, not as in LTK. In QOS he's just a rookie growing up (as we can see in the fabulous last scene with the underused Stana Katic), plus it has the lovely Tosca scene.
P.S. I also hate the shaky camera but I don't think it makes the movie that bad as to put it in one of the last positions.

LTK is a great BOND movie. Q, gadgets, Bond, hot girls, great locations, memorable villian, menacing henchman, gunbarrel (a normal one, at the start), it has everything you'd expect from a Bond film but gives it a twist by making it personal and having Bond go rogue, something we haven't seen before.

It does the whole dark and serious thing without losing it's identity as a Bond film, which is sort of what CR did. Bond has a mission in QOS, but it's hard to understand what, and the film doesn't make you care about it like in LTK.

LTK has great action too (plane fishing, warehouse gunfight, and just look at the tanker chase!), without the crap Bourne knock off editing/shaky cam that QOS had. In QOS he shouldn't have been just a rookie growing up, even Martin Campbell said that Bond had become the Bond we know by the end of CR.

I like both but I'm going with On Her Majesty's Secret Service. It's just more of a Bond movie.

LTK all the way!!!!!! I only watch OHMSS during Bondathons, as it bores the ass off me.
    Lazenby stinks. Dalton delivers.

OHMSS by far! Better story, better villain, better Bond.
  • @-) Lazenby better than Dalton? A rookie versus a Shakespearean? You must give me the name of your oculist.

I'm admirer of LTK but for me OHMSS is the pinnacle of the series so no contest.

Lazenby is fine not revelatory and yes TD is a better actor but everything else OHMSS outclasses LTK considerably.

@Shoreline: Thank you! Someone finally gets it. OHMSS is a bore fest! Lazenby does stink! You are the man Shoreline, rock on!
