Overall, the villains are more entertaining, especially with the better Jaws performance, the soundtrack is better, Roger's performance hits the mark, the plot is driven better, the action is ten times better, and the pacing is much smoother and flows well.
Not to mention the TSWLM women are smoking hot in the looks and body department. Bach, Munro, Bisera, harem girls, the list is endless. Way better than the collection of dogs and oinkers MR presents. Chiles is very average. Clery is atrocious and flat. The astro women are ordinary specimens. What was the point? Their title and level of culture? Except for Emily Bolton, they are all below my dating standards for a fact, I see better looking women than these week in and week out. Very disappointing by the established standards.
MR ftw
@SirHenryLeeChaChing, I'm not sure if you voted or not.
MR, though certainly not perfect, is a fun and entertaining globetrotting adventure. The location variety is vast, the music is superb, there's a fine array of women on board. For me, probably the 2nd best in the series after TB. Unlike @SirHenryLeeChaChing, I, like many here, rate Corinne Clery very highly in the series. I also find her death scene brings a surprisingly emotional tone to an otherwise light-hearted popcorn movie. Manuela is adorable too. Ken Adam's sets are literally out of this world.
I even prefer Roger's performance in MR to TSWLM.
Really? In that case I wish I lived where you live.
Luds ? We need you !!
Yes I did for TSWLM on the previous page.
Well, that's what I think about Clery's face and body. She's fugly. It has nothing to do with her acting in the movie which Slyfox pointed at, she was fine for the role. IMHO, the women in this movie were facially way below Bond standards. Otherwise, I played in bands from the late 1970's until the early 1990's. My metal band played venues from Massachusetts to Virginia for a few years during the 1980's. I have many friends from those days and some are quite famous. According to women back then I looked then somewhere between 1970's Peter Frampton and the late Warrant singer Jani Lane, basically I was a pretty boy with hair down to my elbows. Beautiful women love musicians and women loved me and that's how it was. Sometimes I found it all a bit unbelievable myself! I'm not ashamed of it and quite proud of my exploits so if you find all that "unbelievable", well that's not my concern.
@ DC- Hahaha I've debated TSWLM vs MR with Luds on the side.
Search 'Corinne Clery' in google images and you may see a new side to her! I think there's a beautiful and mysterious quality to her. Very sexy.
Despite my growing admiration for Moonraker, my vote has to go with Spy, for being such a pure, unadulterated pleasure.
The Spy Who Loved Me
Nothing wrong with that reasoning at all. I always vote for the film that entertains me more in these matchups.

And we'll wrap it up here now, thanks again for tallying those votes! As Agent has pointed out for us, The Spy Who Loved Me has taken the win over Moonraker!
Your wish is my command! This is the next round ladies and gentlement, enjoy!
AAAAARRRRGGGH!!!!! I hate choices like these :-t
Honor vs. Isabella
Shirley vs. Tina
Harold vs. Famke
Gert vs. Sean
Guy vs
Sean vs. Pierce
Both are amongst my favourites BUT I'd have to go with :'( Goldfinger
It's just a bit more iconic and classic. Plus Sean in GF is more comfortable than Pierce was in GE.
Nice little bit of trivia - both films have A LOT of continuety errors. Goldfinger has 48, GF has 23
60's Bond ALWAYS trumps 90's Bond.
It beats the snot out of Goldfinger, which is my second least favorite in the entire series for many reasons, such as its boring pace, dull locations, few good action scenes, and worst of all......Miss Galore. :-&
