GOLDFINGER
I am not going to denigrate GE as people know I have never really been impressed by it on another thread.
But my arguments for GF are on this new thread
http://www.mi6community.com/index.php?p=/discussion/2988/why-i-love-goldfinger#Item_1
But I think Goldeneye is a very good Bond film, one of my favorites. So yes, Goldeneye for sure. And that is still keeping in mind I love Sean.
(and no, it doesn't affect me the least bit that Goldfinger was my first Bond movie)
Pussy Galore
Auric Goldfinger
half a film of crap
Goldfinger being sucked out a window that was clearly too small for him to be sucked out of
Thus bringing the count to 8-4, Goldf****er's favor.
Thank you.
I'm voting GE. I think it was PB's best out of his four. It's fun, classy, uses great locations, has interesting charcters, a unique score and feels like a Bond movie should.
I can't believe it's not far from being 20 years old! I still consider it the start of the 'modern era of Bond'!
Absolutely right. It's one and only problem: the not-even-used BMW.
So, any Bond film-Connery< Any films with Sean.
A proven, mathematical fact.
2. Goldfinger (1964) - 10/10
3. From Russia With Love (1963) - 9.5/10
4. Dr. No (1962) - 9/10
5. Thunderball (1965) - 8.5/10
6. The Living Daylights (1987) - 8.5/10
7. On Her Majesty’s Secret Service (1969) - 8.5/10
8. GoldenEye (1995) - 8/10
GE v TMWTGG would have been a fairer match...though TMWTGG would still win hands down ;)
Without a doubt.
Nor mine! Haha, we're back to turn this tide over! Haha.
I find GF overrated. Great villain for sure, but Bond does not do much in the second half. The first half is excellent though.
Basically how I feel, Auric and Oddjob are awesome villains and the first half, except for the boring driving scenes through Geneva, is all right. Still though, GoldenEye remains perfect 100% of the way through, whereas GF falls apart not even halfway through when you include those dull Geneva driving scenes.
HA! Me too! You have immaculate taste. And your top 5 is equally brilliant, yes indeed. :-bd
